Did the trick
It is mounted at illuminates an area over 100 feet from the cameras. Works well.

Reasonably priced, but doesn't work as advertised
Doesn't throw a wide beam (ad said it did), and I ordered two illuminators. Both light sensors don't work (so not automatic on at night!). I would have returned them, but I have them on timers...

Works very well with night vision goggles.
Mounted one on the front of a truck and one on an ATV. Works extremely well with true night vision goggles (the expensive tube ones) and I would assume would work very well with the digital type. Don't mount on the top/roof as it will illuminate the front/hood of the vehicle which you don't want. A simple rocker switch was mounted in the dash for on/off. Didn't use a relay as I don't feel it draws enough current to require one. Nice feature too is it has a light sensor underneath which turns off the light during daylight hours. Handy if you forget to turn it off (very easy to do) so it doesn't stay on all day. Because of the chance in leaving it on you might want to consider a rocker switch with LED so you know when it's on.

Very Bright, Well Constructed
This light supplements my Security camera lights very well. It is extremely bright...almost turns night into day. My existing cameras have a very focused infrared light. My cams' have a wide angled lens so by day they are just right but at night the outside corners are dark. One great thing about this light is that I can install it anywhere and not simply next the my camera. The red light coming from this is not as bright as what comes from my cameras. Personally, I think a criminal who is trying to disable my cameras would get confused by the red lights and not know which is what. It is constructed very well, similar to construction halogen shop lights (I'm an old school contractor). I have put this one outside without worry of rain. I will buy more, these are beasts. When I get a chance I will post before/afters....

It Works
It works fine as it should. Two comments.1) The 1A power supply may be a bit small. I haven't tested it's load, but the brick gets pretty hot. For me, heat on a brick means it is too small. Testing the load to come.2) The light is cast on a distinguishable horizontal line. There is dispersion but not really a flood, but what IR illuminator is a flood? In the attached photos the illuminator is mounted about 15 feet high on the same plane as the camera, aimed a bit left. Camera is an old 720P non-starlight model so the image is a bit poor. It gives you the idea of the light pattern.

Good light for security cameras
It's a great product. I have a couple other IR lights and this is the only one that seems to be more of a SPOT LIGHT then a FLOOD LIGHT style. I added a photo so you could see what I mean. The photo on top is this IR Light. The photo on the bottom is one of my other IR Lights with a flood light style. I am still happy with the product because I'm using it on a side yard, so the spot light style is actually convenient. Other then that, totally satisfied.

No diffuser on lens as shown, creates massive hot spot
First thing I noticed while unboxing was that the IR lenses were perfectly clear. This differs from the diffuser lenses shown in the product images. Immediately upon powering the unit on, a massive bright spot appears on my camera feed. For this reason alone, my purchase is being returned to Amazon. The second issue is the difficulty of installation. You will require a socket wrench (not provided) to remove the mounting bracket from the light. Once mounted, you can then re-attach the light to the mount. The third issue is this unit is advertised as having a 90 degree field of illumination. It's really more like a 20-degree focused area with 20 degree light bleed on all sides, or a total of 60 degrees tops.Last, but not least, during the process of removing the mounting bolts, the black paint on the light began to flake off in large chunks.

Don’t read the manual
Don’t read the manual as it states functionality not on product.Customer services were rude and avoided my questions on manual inaccuracy.Product functions ok IF you want illuminator to only use light sensor to turn on off, but because I fell in the 1% I was told to stick tape over the sensor despite the manual stating you can have operation via light sensor, on constant or custom however there is no constant or custom operation and support avoided the question of manual accuracy and said most users wouldn’t want to change the default operation. Sorry for not being most users. The product ain’t bad if you look pass it’s claims to do stuff it cant

Reasonable priced with good even spread of illumination.
A good short range wide angle spread of illumination. Works fine with my Swann camera.

dissappointing
Despite the appearance of this it's not that bright nor is it a wide throw it's quite a narrow beam.
