Room 2 Build Kids Toy Storage Unit by HelloHome, White

My boy is into his Lego and i was looking for a practical storage solution. This looked ideal as it also doubled up as an interactive furniture item that he could use to store, display, and build on. I wouldnt describe it as a 'quality' piece of furniture, it is a typical MDF, flat pack style that's very common nowadays. Would advise to be mindful of this when constructing and dont over tighten screws etc. too much, as they will easily bore a deeper hole than is already defined. Instructions were pretty standard and its not challenging to put together. Once complete, feels sturdy enough. Looks great in his room and he likes it, is now proudly displaying all of his favourite Lego builds.Only criticism is had was the little Lego plate strips on the side windows. One of these has been mounted a little off from the outer edge meaning when you try to build off from it, the bricks do not align and fix together because the side of the unit blocks it ever so slightly. Not the end of the world and i can probably pull it off and re-stick it better, just a little annoying. Also, make sure you review measurements properly, it is quite small as designed for small children. I was aware before buying so not an issue but does look bigger in pics if you hadnt checked yet.

UPDATE: 10 months on - its still sturdy, the draw is as predicted misshapen now from being pulled in and out and overloaded with lego - but its not fallen apart. I'd definitely recommend to the company that they make them to consider two small pull out draws instead of one large draw with a handle to pull. But otherwise still very happy and used everyday. Money well spent!Bought for my two boys (aged 6) who are avid lego fans. Easy to assemble and surprisingly sturdy and heavy! I was worried it would be flimsy but it's very durable.The shelves can be easily removed and replaced by my 6 year old's (I don't have to help, yay), carried around the house to build on. And there is plenty of space in between them when stored away for each child's creation.From behind the unit, it is chest height (against my 5 year old daughter) who took delight in using it as a lemonade stand - and it is the perfect height to be used as a play shop/counter with the boards flipped over to the smooth side.The official lego bricks we own fit on the brick boards perfectly, and the kids are delighted with it.Looks nice in their room too, we will probably buy another when they fill up this one!Cons:The box for storage underneath doesn't feel very strong, I fear it will break when weighed down with a few kg of lego. It's a plasticy sheened flexible (ish) fabric box - and I fear it won't last, but I could be mistaken! Will update if in a few months if its still going strong or breaks - though if it does break I'm sure any storage box will fit the space.If the manufacturer reads this, hand holds on the side of this box would be super for when they want to remove it and carry it downstairs or into the middle of the room to build with. Dragging it along will no doubt shorten it's life, but there is no easy way to lift it up when full.That aside, it's a well made, sturdy product that could maybe benefit from a tweak or two - my boys love it and the shelves are exactly what we wanted for their room.

The unit itself if brilliant. The material box underneath is pointless and will need to be replaced with a plastic or wooden box very soon.

This was for my three year old great granddaughter,she loves that she has the shelves to play with the Lego and I love the storage underneath , would recommend this to anyone

Good for Lego’s storage and display. My grandchildren love it. I’m going to order another one

Storage box not very sturdy and not as big as expected. Won't hold nuch lego but useful for building on

Looks good, easy to assemble, great to build on and display finished creations. My grandson loved it. Fitted well into his play room.Pretty sturdy but the red Lego storage drawer is a bit flimsy.All in all great.

Absolutely loved this product! Especially as you can easily slide out the shelves and play with the legos on it. My only feedback would be that I need this in a full bookshelf size so we can have 4 shelves instead of only 2! Lovely addition to our Lego mad household
