What are "rim strips?"

It's like a large rubber band that runs around your bike rim to protect your inner tube from being punctured by your spokes and or spoke holes.

Do they look like my 50's schwinn tires? do they say schwinn typhoon cord as my originals do. is the price for a pair?

They are nice looking tires. I do not have the bikes here so I could check the markings. The only problem I had was the ones I got were just a little wider that the ones that were on the bikes.

are the tires folded folded when shipped?

Yes they are folded for shipping. I left them out over night before getting them fitted. Turned out perfectly

Would this fit a 1950's Schwinn bike with fenders?

No not if its original rims from the 50s as they were larger rims smaller tires for 26" then was more like 26 3/8th or 26 1/4 rims depending on factory specs for the bike you have the standard modern 26" rim is a smaller rim with a larger tire side wall.
