I had never heard of AQUACEL til about 6 months ago when I had to go to my local wound care facility and that is what they use. Will always keep some on hand.

Has Worked Well for Me
It was recommended to me in 2018 to use AquaCell AG Extra in an ulcerated ankle wound after the doctor removed the biofilm that I had been using to destroy the biofilm. I ordered some 2x2 from a pharmacy (expensive) and it work well by placing small pieces cut from the 2x2 squares in the wound. I washed it out daily until it was "stuck" hard and left the wound to heal . . . it did. I've used it since, whenever I have a worrisome wound to dress. I bought the 6x6 size since it is a much better price then the 2x2's, and if I never use it up, no problem.

AQUACEL WITHOUT SILVER
This AQUACEL does not contain silver (AG). Perfect for wounds with grafts. It absorbs well while also being an anti microbial layer.

It’s good product but it can get expensive. I had some seriously deep gashes on my bilateral forearm, I use this in conjunction with Manuka honey and colloidal silver and really sped up the healing. Saline wound wash, Manuka honey, aqua cell, colloidal silver on the aqua cell, non stick pad, wrap it up and repeat process every 2-3 days. If you have trouble healing that routine should work wonders for you. My dad taught it to me and he gets painful Venus ulcers that would other wise take years to heal
