Is this product unsented?

From the wife of a man who uses this product— IT SMELLS LIKE MILDEW. I can smell it from across the room. It’s horrid.

How is this any different from all the other hair clays out there?

I’m not sure what I can say about what exactly is different, but I love it! It has a clean smell, no greasy feel, and a great hold without having that stiff wet look. I’ve used Crew Fiber and Forming Cream, multiple Runzel products, and Paul Mitchel too. This is by far my favorite. I work it into almost dry hair, style and go!

Hello! Mine arrived a little cracked, and with some clear oils seemingly separated from the paste. Is this still useable if I mix it back together?

mine was a firm paste. I would think your ok. Use with primer texture tonic.

I have super fine, long-ish hair, glorious silver (i’m lucky)... which would be better for a polished groomed look: super-dry, claymore or pomade?

I'm thinking Pomade because you wanna keep the shine

Description

PERFECTLY POLISHED – Victory Brand Pomade gives a firm hold and smooth shine that polishes up classic, combed hairstyles better than the rest. Use Victory Pomade to transform even the most ungroomed brute of a man into an absolute gentleman, with a look that would make his grandpa proud.
WITHSTANDS A BOUT OF FISTICUFFS – Unlike other hair gels and pomades, Victory's Pomade keeps its grip with a high hold and smooth shine, even after you've been knocked down. Go ahead, take that dirt nap knowing your hair still looks its best.
SMELLS LIKE GRANDPA'S PIPE TOBACCO – Not all hair products for men are created equal. Luckily, the pleasant scent of grandpa's pipe tobacco will put some hair on any man's chest – even if you’re used to wimpy, “unisex” smelling hair products.
PURPLE IS A REAL MAN’S COLOR – Most hair pomade for men is brown or orange, leaving silver, grey and blonde hair looking like a cow pie. Victory's Pomade contains a majestic violet pigment that protects your masculine hair from tarnishing.
BRAVE THE ELEMENTS – All of Victory's men's hair products are made in the USA, so you can trust that they were made with you in mind. Go ahead, take on mother nature headfirst knowing you’re only putting the highest quality ingredients on your manly scalp.
