Works as advertised. I take the pills to help with upset stomach and to keep me alkaline. Good value.

I take a lot of baking soda because I try to keep my body less acid because I have a lot of indigestion and I have had it for years. I have taken so many prescriptions over the years, I have found that sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) is cheaper and works better than all the other pills I have taken even Nexium or Prilosec. This brand is not coated but small enough that it is easy to swallow and fast acting too. There is no taste if you just swallow it.

Best for heart burn

My nephrologist (kidney doctor) prescribed sodium bicarbonate tablets, but buying a prescription from a pharmacy was EXPENSIVE! These are a much cheaper alternative; my doctor was impressed with the money savings, and he said he will pass the information on to his patients.

To be fair, there is no flavor it takes like bromo seltzer or brioski like we had back in the day. Rollaids and Tums work faster but this is a great buy. It may not replace your typical brand of antacid but when you can use it, it works and saves you money. I like it so I can say, hand me a Bromo like the old days and no one knows what in the world I'm talking about. Yup it works, just not as fast but it's a great buy! Highly recommend.

I love this stuff, like it even better that it comes in a pill form. This item is a must in my house . Take it every night .

For years, a home remedy for acid indigestion has been to put a couple teaspoons of Baking Soda in a glass of water and struggle to drink that nasty stuff down. These tablets are easier to take and much more palatable. Baking Soda is Sodium Bicarbonate.It is surprising that most pharmacies don't carry Sodium Bicarbonate tablets and you have to come to Amazon to get them. As a retired RN, it is both surprising and disappointing how quick the Medical Cartel is to write prescriptions for expensive and often unnecessary alternatives for folk who don't suffer from chronic GERD and don't need the burden of such expensive prescriptions. Everyday acid indigestion is usually caused by excess stomach acid or low pH, caused by overactive proton pumps in your stomach. BTW, calcium (Ca++) triggers these pumps to produce acid (H). So... just maybe those over the counter antacids with Ca++ (for your bones... really? Is bone health truly the primary concern of folks taking an antacid?) are actually compounding the problem.Just like the body controls excess acid in blood pH with bicarbonate, in the lungs or from the suprarenal glands on top of your kidneys, you can control stomach acid with bicarbonate. Remember H (acid) + HCO3 (bicarbonate) = H2O (water) and CO2 (carbon dioxide -is the gas that makes you burp). Na or sodium is another by-product of sodium bicarb.
