New brothread Metallic Machine Embroidery Thread 500m per Spool in 9 Colors Set

This order arrived very quickly, and the colours are brilliant in all senses of the adjective. These threads are what the machine embroiderer has waited for all their lives... The metallic threads are so good natured and work beautifully even without using the "Top Stitch" needle that is recommended. I used a straightforward embroidery needle on my Bernina and the results are magical. There is no Diva-like histrionics that normally come to light when using Metallic. These threads are perfectly mannered and no fraying or breaks were experienced at all. Most importantly no frayed tempers either! I did have to reduce the top tension slightly and lengthen the stitch, but that was all. I now fully expect that using my Brother Embroidery Machine and a Top Stitch needle, it will be the most relaxed machine embroidery session ever AND Hubby and the Dog and Cat will NOT have to leave home and go for a long walk until the status quo is restored. Buy these threads with confidence, and you too, will have a fantastic experience.

Only tried one of the colours so far, and made sure to use the recommended too stitch needle in my machine. No tread breaks, although I did feel compelled to guide the thread off the spool and it seemed to keep twisting otherwise. I didn't have the net on, though, so I'm going to try it that way next time. Good quality, though, and lovely mix of colours. The variegated is beautiful.

I'm a big fan of these threads. The first picture is of some crosses done with the metallics. I would really stress that you need to use the METALLIC NEEDLES. The needles make the thread easier to use.The second picture is of my other products bought from the same manufacturer. I don't like to give a review unless I'm really happy with the products.

These threads look lovely. I've only used the red, green and gold so far, but they embroidered well. However, after hand washing the items I made (when I was ironing them) I noticed the red colour had bled. The Christmas gifts were ruined. The green and gold were perfect. Very hesitant now to use the red again. I embroidered tea towels, so they are obviously going to be washed regularly.

Used this on my embroidery machine and it was amazing. Really pleased with the quality and great value .

The media could not be loaded.  Love these metallic threads, they are easy to work with without much temperament and fuss, I have had the chance to use the golden one and I am extremely happy with the texture and the sheen. Will definitely be buying more, as these are going to be amazing for Christmas embroidering..

Loving these beautiful metallic threads. They sew through my machine wonderfully. Adding an amazing finish to my Christmas tree decorations. I changed my tension to number 1, used size 14 needle and regular matching thread in the bobbin.
