Language Arts, Grade 3 (Spectrum)

Spectrum has worked really well for our homeschool so far (though when you get into the upper level geography, the updated reading and some of the science, it gets weirdly political so be careful) but when it comes to the L/A, spelling and writing they are AWESOME! and I couldn't be happier with them. It is an inexpensive way to do homeschooling and is very thorough. and can also be a good tool for review.

I love spectrum books. I am a homeschooling my girls. And for my younger girls I needed these books for the summer to prepare them for their next grades. The books have great pages, good directions and easy to make lesson plans using these books. Well packed and good enough shipping time.

Our son attends public school in California. Thanks to the California Teachers Association and "common core", the only way he'll learn basic English, mathematics, or cursive handwriting is if we teach him.We're glad to have the Spectrum Language series to help. The books cover basic grammar concepts concisely. As other reviewers have noted, the content is hardly stimulating - but when was the last time you saw exciting homework? .The grade 2 and grade 3 textbooks are identical, so if you've purchased one, you don't need the other. This isn't Spectrum's fault, since the same concepts are also repeated for two years in the public school curriculum.Two years. Coincidentally, that's also how long it takes a California teacher to get tenure.

It really focused on all the components of Language arts that is necessary in the English Language..I felt that this is a great foundational text...everything that what was taught at this level in this book will just be built on..but you pretty much learn this in the later grades..

Lots of writings that I had to erase before I could have my third grader work on it. The content is great for a third grader and so is the answer key.

These workbooks take you through grammar. I worked with my kids on each lesson - then had them do a seperate writing exercise to build on what we just did. Simple, but thorough. Def. a good buy.

As a teacher, I found this book to be very helpful in the classroom to supplement the curriculum. Definitely a keeper!!! I recommend to al regular and special education teachers a the 3rd grade instructional level!!!

All contents are interesting.Book quality is good.It s a brand new one.I can recommend to share my friends for their children.
