PentelFinito! Porous Point Pen, Extra Fine Point Tip, Blue Ink, Box of 12 (SD98-C)

I used the Papermate Liquid Flair and Liquid Expresso pens for years, but as far as I can tell, they've sadly been discontinued. I came across the Pentel Finito pens online and at first glance, they appeared to be identical, so I grabbed a 2-pack to try them out before buying an entire box.Right off the bat, the nibs and bodies of the pens are the same. The only differences are the design of the main pen cap and the shape of the little cap on the bottom of the pen. I’m hoping this means the Finito pen cap will be sturdier (the Liquid Flair caps were notorious for mysteriously cracking and not staying securely on the pen, resulting in dried-out nibs), but only time will tell with that.Writing with them feels about the same, too. The ink in the Finito seems to dry a little faster than the Liquid Flair, but there’s a tradeoff - the pigment in the Finito’s ink doesn’t have quite the same rich depth as the Liquid Flair. It’s not super noticeable unless you’re comparing the two side by side like I did, but the difference is there. Overall, I’m still going to hoard my last box of Liquid Flair pens and will miss them when I run out, but the Finito will be a decent replacement when the time comes.

I loved Paper Mate's Liquid Flair pens; they, however, were discontinued and I am on my last pen. I've been searching for a replacement... This is it. I've ordered 4 other kinds trying to find the right pen. These pens are perfect, they write very smoothly. The ink does bleed through a little bit on regular notebook paper, but not on regular copy paper or thicker. I am very pleased with these Finito! pens and highly suggest!

I am very particular about my pens, and these are the best. They last a while, they write well, and I find that coworkers steal them often.

For years I used a similar porous point pen for art work but it has now been discontinued by the manufacturer. I was THRILLED to discover this Pentel product for use with pen and ink drawing. The flow of ink is perfect, it dries fairly quickly, and the black color is ideal for my purposes. The lid is far superior to the other pen because it's very sturdy and stays locked tightly onto the pen. I would not hesitate to buy pens like this again. I hope Pentel continues to produce this model.

These have been my favorite pen for several years now. It feels great in my hand and makes a sharp smooth line. The cap clicks onto the base with a sure "CLICK." The best part is how smooth it is to make a line on a piece of paper. This seems like other pens in this price range would complete in the smooth writing feature but I'm not finding that to be true. On the negative: lose the cap and your pen has a short remaining life (2 days). And remember this is basically a fine felt-tip pen. If you fall asleep with a crossword puzzle, ink stained sheets will result.

These pens are the best. I use them for years and can't use anything else. They write so smooth. Once I brought them with me to India, and now everyone specifically asks to bring these pens! Couple of years back staples stop selling them and I was searching for them everywhere! Finally I was so happy to see them on amazon. If you are looking for the best pens, look no further. You have found them!

What I absolutely MUST write ANYTHING with, is a felt tip writing tool. I don’t know if I’d call this a pen as much as I’d call it aMarker. Reason being that it isn’t a “ball point” nor is it a gel. This has ink in its barrel that flows perfect and evenly at each stroke through its fine, felt-tip. Precise writing, clean clear markings. I absolutely love these. Sleek, casual elegant with it’s clear bottom portion and very cool, “clipped” cap that feature a metal coil, protecting its, somewhat, fragile tip and that snaps on securely. If you love to write, doodle and jot as I do. Try these.

These are the only black pens I use for my artwork, they are brilliant.
