Q: Does this come from dehydrated chickens?

Yes they dehydrate the chickens. Then they feed the chickens dehydrated chicken feed. When the eggs are laid they crack them and powdered eggs fall out. Then Fernando puts the powder in a No. 10 can for you.

Q: Will these eggs last longer than one year if refrigerated after opening?

Do you know you that if you coat eggs with oil it will seal the pore in the shell and that keeps the egg from spoiling. No refrigeration needed. I just lightly re-oil the eggs every month. After a year they still tasted fresh.

Q: Can these be used for baked goods?

I have used this for years in baking, it does an excellent job, even in recipes where it is the primary ingredient like Giant Baked Pancake Puff. I love always having eggs in my pantry!

Q: Why did they put aluminium in these eggs? I'm surprised they would add something people wouldn't want to eat normally.

The aluminum additive is less than 2 percent of the product. It is an anti-caking agent. And no, that does not mean you can't make cakes with this!
