When I first got my cat, Figaro I had real issues with his water bowl. I bought four bowls that were \__/ shaped and that proved to be a massive problem because he would push the bowl with his paw until it tipped up and spilled water everywhere. Obviously.I then bought another metal bowl with a /___\ shape and that worked a little better but because it was quite light he could still tip it over if he felt so inclined.I was fortunate to try this bowl out for a genuine review, and I am so incredibly impressed with it. I removed the stainless steel bowl and put water in the black melamine bowl. This bowl is really heavy duty and well made, melamine is usually quite light so I wasn't sure but this stays on the floor! When I introduced it to Fig he didn't try any funny business, but I could hear him last night trying to move the bowl - to no avail! It really is great for staying upright in the face of a cat.The stainless steel bowl has been relegated to wet food duty, and does this job very well. The edge of the bowl are curved so food doesn't get stuck in the corners but it does make a bit of a sound if someone is over-enthusiastic when eating it is much lighter than my other food bowls so I don't think I'll be using it every day but as a 'just in case'. If I were to use the stainless steel bowl for food I would much rather put it in the melamine 'hold'.In all, I would totally recommend this product. It is a little on the expensive side but it seems incredibly durable and heavy duty.

This is by far the best, most practical and easiest to clean dog bowl that we’ve ever had. My dog doesn’t have to chase his food around the kitchen floor in a bowl that slips and slides everywhere anymore. The black bottom part is of a solid build and great quality and the cutout is great to easily grip when picking it up off the floor. The stainless steel bowl is very thin and one drop would almost certainly result in a dent. It does slip/turn around a little inside the bottom part what’s my dog is eating, but not in a such a way that is frustrating for me or the dog. A thin rubber coating between the two would solve this. The shape means that my dog also doesn’t have to struggle to get compressed food from the corners like he did with his old bowl. I use this as one bowl instead of two, because it means I can pop the stainless steel bowl into the dishwasher without the annoying problem of water collecting in the hollow part of the bottom bowl. A few small drainage holes in the top rim of the bottom part would solve this issue. My only slight criticism is that I would’ve preferred a slightly smaller size, so a choice in sizes wouldn’t go amiss. Overall a fantastic ball, the best my dog had had, and for a bargain price too.

I was really impressed by this item. Several dogs we have had in the family have a habit of chasing their food bowl around. This is even more of an issue if you have a dog that needs to eat off a stand. That is where this bowl is fantastic. The anti skid base stays in position well and stopped us having to use anti skid mats where we feed our dog. Its great to not have to hear the clang that the old bowl made when our four legged friend knocked their food of the stand. Because the metal bowl section is removable, cleaning is really easy.I'm happy to reccomend this item,

Nice little set, the base feels like a nice plastic, and I didn't notice the small detail in the design when i bought it, the hand holes cut into the base..... so very easy to pick up - full or empty. Simple feature, that makes handsling so much easier.The base has rubber so that the bowl should stay put, or stay put more, your pouch may have other plans!I like the fact teh stainless steel bowl is removable, so in theory..... is this two bowls?If traveling, it would be good for a little food, or water, whichever makes your dog more comfortable..... and when you stop, you have both there, for food and water.I currently do not have a dog, but, I have a dog that visits!Now, I won't be searching for something to server water and food in now - and as they stack, as suck, they will take up less space!He won't know what hits him the next time i do a spot of dog sitting!

I am going to start this review differently given that Jack Russel terriers are involved and VERY lively ones also.Firstly, I cannot find fault with these bowls and it would appear that Doug and Fudge, the 2 Jack Russel terribles are in accord. The sheer simplicity of being able to pop the metal bowl into the strong laminated bowl, leaving just 1 bowl out for water is amazingly simple yet brilliant. The build quality of these bowls is incredibly strong, sleek and well-fitting. I shall certainly be recommending these bowls to my "doggie" friends.

Looking for a handy bowl for using outdoors in the warmer weather then this could be it. The removable stainless steel inner bowl can be put through the dishwasher to make sure it's nice and clean for your pooches, while the wide bottomed outer bowl gives a nice stable base so it doesn't get knocked over.This will be going with us when we holiday with our 2 little dogs, as it seems to be pretty tough and should last a long time.If you want your pooches to get nice cold water, put about 5-10mm of water in the outer bowl and freeze it. Then put the inner bowl with cold tap water and it will stay cold for quite a long time, good for those warmer days - be aware that the ice will melt and slowly come over the sides of the outer bowl so stand it on something or use it outside!

Having accidentally left our dogs' water bowl behind at our holiday hotel recently, I needed to get a replacement. This one ticks all the boxes. it's a large bowl, which is good because it holds plenty of water for my two thirsty Westies. The inner bowl is stainless steel and easy to lift out to wash and refill. The outer bowl is non-slip and won't move on the floor and it has indentations on two sides to make it easy to get your fingers under and grip it to pick it up.
