I have to explain my 5 star rating after reading all the reviews. I am aware of the cancer risk for Carmel color. I am aware that this is meant for infants only. But my friend has a rare issue in which she can not absorb Vitamin D, even though the genetic testing for her is normal. She has tried everything on the market over the last ten years. Her Vitamin D level would never rise past 5. Normal is from 30 - 100 for adults. Her body would would overdose on every adult vitamin D she was given by many doctors. Or she would not benefit at all. After all of this, she decided to ask her doctor if she could try this D-VI-SOl in an infant dose. All her doctors agreed because they were at a loss of what to do. She was in her thirties by now with a lot of bone loss because of the Vitamin D issues. The dose is actually one half teaspoon a day. She used this for six years and her bones began to re grow. Her Vitamin D levels never went to normal but to a level that her body could work with. She is currently almost back to normal bone mass. She can only take this twice a week as her body can not handle even this small dose everyday. To her, this is a wonder drug. Her doctors agree. For her the risks are worth it. And her doctors agree. Even a doctor who studies bone loss told her that she would never re grow bone. That doctor even told her to stay on this Vitamin D because maybe she would not lose any more bone mass while taking it. The doctors were all amazed that this small dose healed her bones. It is expensive at the regular stores and sometimes hard to find so I get it for her on Amazon. The only complaint would be that the dropper top is no longer available. So it can not be taken very easily out of the house. The syringe is not very sanitary and hard to carry in a purse. UPDATE: My order on 1/1/18 arrived and to my surprise the caramel color has omitted! There is no terrible taste now! There is barely a taste at all! Thank you Enfamil.

My baby had a bad reaction to sun drops so switched to these. No reaction and no issues getting him to take it when added to his bottle. I tried it and it taste just kinda sweet but no real flavor. Definitely my pick for baby vitamin D for both my littles.

These are recommended by our doctor and I’ve been given to my son for a while now no complaints so far overall I think they’re good. Just the taste is very strong which can with the kids sometime. Don’t like it may choke on it but
