it is beautiful as every real Japanese dinnerware. delicate as lotus flower.I recommed to the seller that fill the box with bubble wrap. One bowl arrive broken, but i will fix it.

Very attractive, pleasing shape, handy size. Will get more.For the record, I don’t think it reflects in any way on the quality of a product if it arrives broken due to packaging or other reasons. I think a person should review an item only after using/evaluating an undamaged example. My two cents.

What can I say about something that is simple but perfect in function and appearance. The Japanese have been doing pottery for hundreds of years the design of the bowl form follows function throw in some color and you have the Sumi Bowls. Amazon really found a winner I know that I will be ordering more of these. I just really love these Japanese bowls.

These are simply gorgeous bowls whose heft suggest they will last a long time. The large size makes them suitable for soups, stews, etc. The included chop sticks are also quite beautiful in their simplicity and have become our favorites. The first bowl sets we received arrived in small pieces due to woefully inadequate packaging, but that is not the fault of the bowls...
