Has anybody had success with taking these pills?

I have taken this for 14 months and take 4 a day. I had a couple of kidney stones and then felt more pain. My wid=fe told me her mother in the Philippines had bad kidney problems and I saw the X ray, and it was pretty badly blocked. Her doctor prescribed this and her kidney recovered. Amazing. I worked in the pharmaceutical industry all my life as a research scientist and would not usually take anything that was not FDA approved. But bear in mind that nearly all medicines  have an origin as a natural product such as aspirin from Willow bark. The drug industry extracts such drugs from natural sources, studies their structures and chemically improves them. I started taking this as there is nothing in the medical industry that treats kidney stones that I know of. I see it has a high rating. Although I have had slight kidney pain from time to time over 14 months, I stopped getting excruciating pain and assume any stones in development were destroyed. There are no clinical studies but considering the Amazon rating CP is a good bet. I will take it for the rest of my life unless things radically change. 4 a day. And remember not all FDA medicines work for everyone, and most have side effects. So expect some negative reviews. Do not expect an effect after the first week. Hopefully after about 2 months of taking CP you will be getting some help. You do not have much to lose. For me its a great help.

What’s the dosage?

I have both gall and kidney stones. The recommended dosage is three times a day but i am a stone factory.  I would recommend one a day cause it will slowly smooth out the stones before they come out.  Since january 2020 i passed 30 stones from 1mm to 4mm  every two weeks. The first pass took a month so try it for a month.  I recommend this if you’re prone to kidney stones

Yes, it does. If you research chanca piedra and what it does in the body, you'll find studies show it breaks up many different types of stones, no matter where they are. Including calcium deposits.

Can anyone explain the difference between tablets versus powder capsules, furthermore does it make a significant difference between the options?

Powder capsules is where you have a clear cellulose capsule encasing the powder. With a tablet you have the cellulose blended into the powder creating a pill-like supplement that is easy to swallow.
