What has changed over the last year?   This does not stick like it use to???

These are better than any other patches.  I was diving in the bahmas from 7/1-7/12 and my patch is still attached (I'm waiting for my new dexcom sensors).  I was diving down over 100ft as well.

Do they let your skin breath?

They do not have any holes or anything in them.  I have not have any skin issues wearing them and I have started putting them on the first day I change my sensor.  I was putting them on around day 6 and not wearing them as many days as I was concerned about skin issues.  I find them quite thing an I don't even notice I have it on.  The bandage looking ones pulled my skin and I often felt like something was tugging on me every time I moved.  I like these the best.

This is for the patch only, not the transmitter and/or sensor.  The clear adhesive holds the sensor on better than the white tape that comes with the sensor and is more flexible than the bandage looking ones.  They are also easier to take off than the bandage looking ones and do not leave any sticky residue.  Highly recommend the clear patch to hold the sensor on for the entire 10 days.  I have already knocked a sensor off by bumping it on my desk at work.  The clear patch prevents that from happening.  As for the Dexcom G6 yes they connect to iPhone through an app and you can also show your readings on your iWatch (if you have one).  The G6 comes with sensors, transmitter and device to obtain the glucose readings.  I do not carry the device as I always use my phone and watch.  You change the sensor (that's the clear thing with the white tape) every 10 days.  It is so easy with the phone as you can just take a photo of a bar code and the new sensor is all set up and ready for insertion.  Very easy to insert with the push of a button and I believe less painful than a fingerstick and you only have to put a new sensor on every 10 days - no more fingersticks!

I don't think the Dexcom sensor patches would work for that, but look into gaffer tape. Gaffer tape is similar to duct tape, but with less sticky residue. It's meant for securing cables on a stage, but when I bought some on Amazon back in June, most of the reviews seemed to be about how Kim Kardashian said it was good for use when one is wearing strapless, backless gowns. I found that to be information I didn't need, but it might turn out to be what you're looking for.
2" gaffer tape comes in many different colors, and 3" in black, brown, gray, and white. It works well for holding down power and audio cables to avoid tripping hazards, but I can't say whether or not it would irritate skin if left on for any length of time.
