Usborne The Children's Book of Art: Internet Linked

This book fit perfectly into my understanding of Art concepts and representative artists 👨‍🎨 using fascinating examples.I saw it first as a library book and decided to have my own copy.Excellent book !

We are going to center our art curriculum around this book. My first grader LOVES art, but she is getting bored with coloring books and crayons. We're going to study an artist per month and attempt to replicate some of their arts using similar mediums. (For Michelangelo, I'm going to tape a piece of paper to the bottom of the coffee table and let her practice painting the Sistine Chapel.)The book has good information for her age level - just enough to introduce her and give her some basics. I also love that it's internet linked so we can go online and explore more as her interests guide us. The print quality is also excellent, which makes for beautiful reproductions of the pieces that are featured.

I got this book for my 9 year old niece, and I spent days looking at it before I gave it to her for Christmas. This book is so fantastic. The pages are filled with famous art, ranging from Renoir to Andy Warhol. It also has "side notes" about the background of the artist(s), how or why the piece came to be, and other interesting facts and tidbits. It's colorful and it's printed on quality paper. It's definitely one of the best art books for kids I've ever seen. Highly reccomend this one!

Great book for kids. I checked it out of the library and decided I just had to buy it for my own. Every month my students and I read a few pages and try to recreate the work of that artist. Must have!

Fantastic book for any age. Adults were intrigued and learned much. It’s a good book to expose children to the art of the world.

The book is organized really well and it's easily accessible for kids. We looked through, picked out several artists that the kids were interested in, and then took the book to the art museum to see other works by those artists and compare and contrast. It was lots of fun and it was great to use the book as a guide to plan the visit around.

I bought this book for my 9 year old daughter for Christmas. She loves it. It is simply written and explains why various artists and their works are considered masters. I even enjoyed the simple and straightforward explanations as to what differentiates one artist's work from another. This book can be read a page or two at a time - about the amount of space offered to each artist/work.

Lovely book.

This book does exactly what it says on the tin, to coin a cliché. It's a great way of introducing a curious child to the world of art and one which both children and parents alike can enjoy looking at together. I have been buying books from Usborne for 3 years and have been impressed with almost every one. If there is anything you need a book on for your children, search for an Usborne one and I'm sure you will not be disappointed.

This book is really great to introduce art to children.It shows different styles ,techniques and some of the most popular art pieces.My daughter loved it.It explains without overbearing the subject , making it great for 8 y.o
