Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Notebook Sound Card PCMCIA

Basically all the software included in the package doesn't works with wins 8 (except the demo dics). However, you can download newer version of the driver from the official site, and surprisingly, it just works.Does it sound good in 2017? No particularly. It sounds just like the built in sound card in my laptop (conexant). However, the optical output is amazing. Apparently, digital optical output is more superior than the regular analog 3.5mm jack, especially when you have 5.1/7.1 stereo system. And most laptop just don't have optical output (I've heard that all mac have optical output). So, I like it. Get it if you have pcmcia slot in your laptop and a stereo system that supports optical. Oh, price is a problem as well. I bought mine for about $34, so it's awesome for me.

I like the simplicity of this card and the great sound it has. I have been told that it does not work in all computers and you would have to test it. In mine it did but in a friend's compaq laptop with very similar carachteristics as mine it did not work. So watch out and make sure you can return it. For the ones that work, you are in for a great experience with many different audio options.

The Audigy 2 ZS sound card was purchased used from BMS Computer Sales. It was exactly as represented in their advertisement. It and EVERY piece of the accessories arrived together - very well packaged. Everything worked PERFECTLY. The order was placed on Saturday AM - it was delivered Monday afternoon. Man, that's prompt. I am Very, Very pleased with the product, AND BMS Computer Sales' performance. I rate BMS Computer Sales with an A PLUS for their performance on this transaction.

This sound card really did the job and is super small compared to external sound cards. The only setback is that it's a little too expensive
