Perfect for your retro combat rig.
Works and looks perfect on my retro AR build. Great quality and not slippery like those nylon slings.

AmmoGarand M1 Web Sling
Very nice GI sling, tight tolerances. My front tab was not totally flat across the webbing and it would not feed back through the clip, but solved by simply using a soft face hammer and peening it flat. Completed my NM M1A..

better than the originals
Use on all my rifles that have 1 1/4" swivels. Best slings available in my opinion.

It won't break if you follow the directions!
For those of you complaining that the metal end tab comes off too easily, that's because you're not reading the directions! You have to pinch the webbing (per instructions) and remove it from the metal tabs of the clamping buckle BEFORE pulling the metal tab through, that's why folks are ripping the tab off. You gotta remove the web from the tabs and only run the tab under the clamp of the buckle. You don't force it. You rock it through the clamp and it then works perfectly.Anyway, I bought this canvas sling because all my nylon webbing slings kept sliding off my shoulders while hunting. So far so good. I've even bought a second one for my wife's hunting rifle. I love the look and feel of the thick canvas. And the hardware is top notch. The clamping buckle is tight, which is a good thing (unlike some reviewers who think it's too tight). And, for those complaining that the webbing is too thick (or wide, is what I assume they mean), your sling swivels are probably not 1 1/4 inches wide. The webbing is 1 1/4" wide and won't work with narrower sling swivels. This is NOT a problem with the sling! Finally, regarding customer support, I had a question for the owner and he called me back within an hour of my message. He's a very nice guy (an army veteran) who is happy to help with any questions you may have. This product is HIGHLY recommended if you're tired of the nylon straps sliding off your shoulder while your hunting, or if you're a history buff since they are based off of the original design. And, made in America!

Sling Reminds Me of My Old Army Days
This sling only took about 3 minutes to install and 2 of them was adjusting it to fit snuggly against the rifle stock. I had read some reviews of people having trouble trying to get the strap through the locking keeper buckle. The strap goes through so easily that I could see me at the range adjusting from shoulder carry to firing ready and it slipping through to let the muzzle hit the ground. "Get down with it trainee and give me 50" comes back so vividly. It is a sturdy strap that will last a lifetime since I don't use or abuse my rifle that much. To all those "Thumbelina's" out there that had trouble with it, I'm glad I read between the lines and bought a quality product. If you really want to know how to operate a sling, join the Army or Marines. Hooah!

Top notch!
Well made sling! You can definitely see the care that went into making this. Worth every penny. Anything you find for cheap will probably fail at some point. Stitching is top notch, excellent materials. Only reason for one star off was because the clip end took quite a bit of force to clip onto a standard hunting metal loop. Used a flat head screwdriver to spread them open. Haven’t tried on Magpul sling loops but it looks they are quite thicker and will be a bit harder. Other than that I can tell this will last quite a while. Definitely get if you’re looking for era type gear!

Excellent USGI Web Sling
Great fabric and hardware, feels very sturdy. Front sling keeper locks down tightly and the rear j-hook swivel attachment snaps snugly onto an M16A2 style stock fixed swivel, while still allowing free rotation. Very happy with this purchase. My husband is using this on an A2 inspired SPR with 13” free-float handguard. Distance from the front QD sling swivel to the rear A2 stock fixed swivel is about 27.5”. I’ve seen people say you need a 52” long sling to work on an AR/M16 (A2/3/4) platform, however this sling seems plenty long to me. Even with a jacket on, my husband had no issues getting the rear loop high up on his bicep, with plenty of sling left for adjustment. For reference, my husband is about 5’10”, 200lb; if you’re Sasquatch, you may need a longer sling for use on an A2 setup, but for regular sized people, this sling should be more than long enough to be utilized with traditional USMC marksmanship or Appleseed shooting methods.
