I have an old Easton graphite shafted stick with a detachable wooden blade. I love the curve of the blade and it is not made anymore, so if I were to damage it beyond repair, I may not be able to find a replacement. These blade savers are great. Just put them on your blade (takes a little bit of effort but goes on nice and tight) and I would recommend using good hockey tape to tape them securely to the blade which adds an extra layer of protection and stability. I believe taking repeated slap shots will wear the blade saver down more than just regular stickhandling and regular wrist shots would, but it certainly is a great product, and I can't see it wearing down anytime soon. Easy to put on the blade, and prevents you from having to buy expensive blade replacements. I even used two of them and cut them to size to put them on the blade of my wooden goalie stick to prevent it from chipping on the road during use. Just remember to really tape it up well. You will need to use a decent amount of tape in my opinion, but that's much more cost effective than replacing damaged blades. And I can imagine with the one piece sticks that are made nowadays, damaging a blade is extremely expensive. This will help save the blade for sure! Another great benefit is that this does not seem to alter my shot at all, and if it does, it is so minimal I really don't notice.

My son loves the way this blade saver protects the bottom of his blade. With a tight fit no tape is required even though he uses a little. This product definitely prevents the asphalt from "eating" the blade. I have looked at many of these products, but the Blade Save is the most cost-effective way to protect stick blades on the market that does not add significant weight to the blade and interfere with shooting and stick handling.You nailed it!

I knew it was probably gonna be a piece of crap but figured I'd roll the dice because of the low price. Well, after just a few passes in the driveway with my daughter it started coming off. I pushed it back on twice before becoming annoyed and wishing I had just spent the money on a nice blade guard. I probably could have put some tape on it but that might make it last another ten seconds.

First of all, it's just a hard plastic tube with a cut down the middle. You can go get a whole roll of this from Home Depot for about the price you pay for for these, you just have to at the cut down the middle.Then you get to the point of why bother going through that trouble? My 11 year olds tore through these the first half hour of playing in the street.

Product was hard to slide on and once I was able to get it on and use it after 2 shots without it taped in the front and back it came off and then once I taped it, it still slid and would not stay in place. Save your money cheap product for a reason
