A successful balancing act
Holly Bourne brilliantly manages a tightrope walk of writing a lovestory that makes you feel all the feelings, while at the same time explicitly aiming to avoid lovestory clichés. With each lovestory cliché that DOES come up, there is a twist and turn you didn't necessarily see coming. And it is SO refreshing and IMPORTANT to read a book in that kind of genre that openly addresses everyday sexism and the everyday problems it brings with it, especially for young women trying to figure out their way with love, sex and the roles they want to play (muha, movie joke). There are other serious matters addressed in this book as well. And – without giving too much away – the ending really stuck with me. I had and still have to chew on that for a while ;) Thank you Holly!

Its way to good for the cost
I always used to save my 5 stars thinking that there have to be a better book than this but when I read it I thought this deserves to get a 5 star. It incredibly changes the idea of love. We love imagining beautiful things in love and thats why we watch movies to just escape from the reality and somewhere in the middle we just start hoping for such love in our life. The title actually just told us that it only happens in movies but with our perspective we just assumed that clićhes collided with reality giving a typical ending to the book but it only happens in movies. And from my view ,utterly deserving .The words stay. And love is a choice and you have to choose it.

It only happens in movies
Bella storia, mai banale e ricca di consigli cinematografici. Carino in lingua originale. Della stessa autrice il solo How do you like me now? è stato tradotto in italiano.
