If you like to work with high quality tools that feel good in the hand and perform as expected, spend a little extra and buy Knipex. I have started replacing many of my pliers for Knipex brand equivalents and couldn't be happier. My opinion they are worth the spend.

The build of the pliers is excellent, but the delivery was very slow

I was originally disappointed with these because when I first tested these pliers they were extremely stiff. The stiffest pair of pliers I have ever used. Upon inspection, the joint looked to have oil that had been contaminated with rust. I contacted Knipex directly and they were able to respond quickly. Knipex told me the pliers are not supposed to be that stiff and told me the pictures I sent them looked like the pliers were used already (or were stored improperly which led to rust).Knipex advised me to get a refund or get a replacement. I decided to get a replacement and hope for the best. I am glad I did because these new ones are hundreds of times better. They are not stiff at all.I did see some people here saying they got stiff pliers, THAT IS NOT NORMAL. Return them or get a refund. Its unfortunate, but I think it might be because of how Amazon is storing it and how knipex stores the pliers (in a bag that gets easily perforated by the tip of the pliers).But besides that, these are great pliers! The feel, the grip of the pliers, and the handle are great.

Was building out a tool set for my desk and knew I needed a set of needle nose. I already owned the smooth jaw and standard cobra pliers and loved them both, so I decided to try out knipex for my needle nose and they’re just as nice as everything else from them. If you have other tools from them, these live up to their quality.

I bought these for pulling wire tape. We do a spray on coat on RV roofs it's a latex type spray on almost like a rhino lining for a truck. The wire tape we spray over and then we have to pull it out through about a quarter inch thick overspray. The wire tape is really thin. These pliers grip The wire and pull it through the quarter inch thick overspray latex just fine without losing their grip. I went through about three other pliers that did not hold the wire it would slip out of the pliers.

I am very pleased with the plyers themselves, they are a very solid design and I feel like they would last a long time. The reason I gave this 4 stars was because for a player you spend $25-30 on there should not be burrs on it from when it was machined. I am a machinist myself and am very surprised their QA department would let that slide, I did order a pair of lineman plyers and they were the same way. It's not a big deal, I can take all the sharp edges off but for a top brand tool like knipex and the money you pay for them I don't think this is something you should have to do.
