White Silver Metallic Braid Thread Camellia #17343-20 Gram

The thread is beautiful…..a little hard to sew with because it twist so much. You need to take your time sewing with it. I must say the service was fast and had no other problems. I’ll still use the tread, just small things. Sew Happy, Karen

This thread is really bright and adds wonderful sparkle to crocheted project. The picture I uploaded shows it being used for edging on an angel Christmas tree ornament. Now, a couple things to know before you use it. It is thinner and stiffer than Size 10 crochet cotton. The easiest way to use it would be to hold it together with the size 10 while crocheting. If you work with the braid by itself you may need to change tension, hook size, or possibly the pattern itself because of the smaller size. Also, because the braid is very stiff its rather difficult to work with. Stitches tend to come undone and it comes off the spool. However, this tends to be an issue with all of the metallic filament products I've worked with so I didn't mark the rating down. I say this just to put readers on notice that it takes a little patience to use it.

Ball in the photo appears to be much larger than the actual product. This is a very small ball of thread and not economical. The product is also extremely difficult to work with when compared to other crochet threads. I wouldn’t recommend this product.

It is great. Just a that thicker than size 30 crochet yarn, but easy to adjust if you want to combine them. At first you need to adjust to the stiffness of the yarn, but it does not take longThe effect combined with white and other colors is georgeous !

I added this to other silver crochet thread to make ornament covers. My neighbor bought a whe box for her daughter. So very pretty
