The material is fine and the product easy to install. I purchased this item for extra security and privacy, it didn't help much about privacy but good for extra security.

It's the stupid things you need when setting up a new office. Our letterbox had been sealed up because the opening would have allowed access to the door lock, so we needed a completely solid security shield for the letterbox or else no post.This is perfect, because it's really solid and screws in such a way that it can't be tampered with. So far, several months on, it hasn't stopped any post being delivered - I don' think there's anything that would fit through the letterbox that can't drop down with this in place.From a security point of view, it also make it impossible to tamper with the door - I've tried!Maybe not the first choice for a home as it is a solid bit of metal, but fully recommended for offices, etc

This item doesn’t shield what you can see from outside. I installed it about a month ago, the screws supplied were so cheap one of them snapped whilst being screwed into the wood. I couldn’t remove it from the door so had to fit it with just 3 securing it. I wish I’d checked from outside before today as I’d have returned the item. I’ve now ordered a replacement cover so this was a waste of money and not fit for purpose.
