These clamps look heavier duty than they feel. I saw another review here on Amazon that tested the amount of force they can handle. It ended up being half the actual rating, and that's fine. However, heavy duty is a bit misleading. What I do like about them is that they are the compact size of your standard D clamp (think the size of one for your keys), but with the extra security of the screw up locking mechanism. For my purposes, they work fine, but for anyone that is looking for a very strong clamp, look elsewhere.

Beware, these are small. Check the size description. I would use these for anything but keys. They look cheap, operate cheap. Check out the video showing failure at less than half rated strength. But something else unless your just securing your keyring.

I love these little caribeaners! I use one to hold my 32 liter water bottle onto my biking bag and the other for my dogs leash. Whenever we take her with us to eat outside at a restaurant I like to hold her to my chair with one of these for quick release if we're approached by another dog. I feel safer knowing she can be untied in a few seconds compared to have to unleash her to unloop the leash from a chair or post. She is a medium sized dog and this holds her weight even when she pulls

*Update*I have now used this carabiner for a little over 2 years. Still using the same one. The paint has faded slightly, but it still functions perfect.I bought this after putting up with crappy "spring lever" carabiners that kept wearing out. This carabiner is different because the lever is made by bending the metal. Instead of using a little spring, the entire clip of the carabiner flexes and makes it much stronger. I have carried my keys on this for about 2-3 months and it shows no signs of wear. Plus, you get 2 just in case or for another project. I will buy more if I ever need more carabiners.

I have an ENO DoubleNest hammock but honestly being a bigger guy(250lbs)I was skeptical about everything hammock related. I decided to buy these because of there awesome weight rating. I spent 4 days carefree in the PNW wilderness with these babies attached to my hammock. The color also matched my hammock which was even better!

Love these. I bought them to hang a hammock chair and they are perfect. The locking mechanism allows the chair to be secure and I know they will hold any weight of someone in the swing. They do not seem taxed even with regular use of the swing they are holding up. Will definitely purchase these again if I need a durable, affordable carabiner clip.

These locking carabiners will do the job for light duty and some medium duty work.The are very light weight and standard sized. The locking mechanism is not incredibly sturdy but will work. Overall they will serve my needs but are not the greatest quality and are a little over priced for the quality that they are. Definitely not for climbing!

I failed to notice that these were not climbing carabiners. I was looking to make fire escape setup with them. These are however very nice set that I can use for other applications. They are not the cheap key ring quality ones and look like they can take a heavy load.
