The Charlie Method : Kennedy, Elle: desertcart.in: Books Review: Yumm… - Honestly when I heard about the book, I really did not know what to expect cause reverse harem in college hockey was a surprise. This book is different from what i have read before. The book had humour, emotions and great chemistry, And the spiceeeeeee….. The main leads had a lot of layers and I related to some on how sometimes you are not able to show your complete self to the world. Charlie, Will and Beckett understood each other in a way that no one else understood them and for them it was enough. And I like how the book showcased the difficulties of being in a complicated relationship like theirs. Overall the book is a fun read and I would recommend if you are into reverse harem. P.s: Something I quite did not vibe with was the lack of a complete plot. The plot, was there but not fully and lacking something. Review: Different - THE CHARLIE METHOD By Elle Kennedy College senior Charlotte Kingston is living two lives―and she's nailing both of them. By day, she's the perfect sorority girl, a STEM student in biomedical engineering, and the adopted daughter of an overachiever family. At night, she's Charlie: a risk-taking daredevil looking for fun who finds herself chatting on a dating app with two anonymous hotties. Will Larsen may seem like the breezy boy next door, but his congressman father is a constant thorn in his side. After a scandal hits another Division 1 hockey program, Will's dad is determined to distance his son from it, hiring a journalist to prove how squeaky-clean Will and his team are. Which means the last thing Will wants is for anyone to find out he and his best friend Beckett Dunne―a laidback Aussie shielding secret heartache―sometimes share girls in the bedroom. When Charlie finally meets them in person and realizes she's been chatting with two gorgeous Briar U hockey players, things get steamy―fast. But all their messy secrets are piling up, and real life soon threatens to shatter the fantasy. With Charlie, Will, and Beckett all coming to terms with what they want and what others want for them, difficult decisions will need to be made. Especially when lust starts to look a lot like love. 😊What i liked - ✔ MFM/Online Friends To Lovers/Sports. ✔ Let me start by saying i am not fond of Love Triangle's but it was really fun to read the individual as well as a collective bond form between the characters. ✔ Three very different characters with 3 different vulnerabilities. I loved how they each helped the other with their issues. ✔ Though I liked Will with Charlie but i liked her more with Beckett. ✔ It was fun but sometimes a bit emotional. 🤔What could have been better- ✔ The book could have been a bit shorter. 📚Who Should read : 👶Beginners 💝Romance Lover 💏MFM Romance 🏒Sports Romance 📈My Rating : 3.5/5 Thank you, Elle Kennedy & Hambright PR, for a copy.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 🌶️🌶️🌶️ The Charlie Method is the deliciously daring third installment in Elle Kennedy’s Campus Diaries series—and it might just be my favorite yet. Charlotte (Charlie) is a Korean American senior at Briar U. To the outside world, she’s the model student: focused, studious, and always in control. But beneath the surface? There’s a wild side—fast cars, casual hookups, and a hunger for more than what’s expected of her. When a dating app introduces her to a profile run by two hockey players, her carefully built walls start to crack. One night of fun spirals into something that challenges not only her boundaries, but her very sense of identity. Charlie is whip-smart, a STEM queen with her life planned down to the minute. She’s also adopted, and her journey of self-discovery—balancing her past, her culture, and her need for acceptance—hits hard. Will, the congressman’s son with more heart than his politics suggest, is confident and compassionate, but trapped in his father’s shadow. Beckett, the playboy on the surface, reveals himself to be layered, patient, and achingly vulnerable. Together, their dynamic is messy, intoxicating, and impossible to look away from. This story isn’t just about taboo romance—it’s about self-discovery, acceptance, and the freedom to finally be unapologetically yourself. I laughed out loud, swooned, and blushed my way through this book. The spice? Hot, explorative, and unapologetically bold. The extras—like app chats, fanfic snippets, and hilarious letters—made the world feel so real and gave the story such a fresh, quirky vibe. Elle Kennedy took risks here, and they paid off. If you love hockey romance with an eccentric twist, complex characters, and spice that will leave you grinning like an idiot, The Charlie Method is an absolute must-read. Tropes: Hockey romance Triple POV Secret identity / dating app twist MMF / poly goodness A brilliant MFC in STEM

4.5 stars This is a fun, entertaining, wild ride. Will, Becket and Charlotte are interesting, complicated, strong, relatable, intriguing, complex, wounded, entertaining characters. The path to their HEA is entertaining to read. These three are fun to spend time with. The secondary characters added to the fabric of the story and my enjoyment. I loved getting to see and hear about the couples from the previous books in the series. I enjoyed the family and friend aspects of the story and what each brought to the main characters and the plot. The story is easy to read and get into. I enjoyed the audio version of this book and the narrators.

I love Elle Kennedy! And I am sad off Campus and Briar series are over. I just felt kinda off with this story. Maybe it’s just my personal intake on a three person relationship and it just felt odd. I also felt it was more sex scenes and not an actual depiction of how they fall in love. But I do save from the book that I liked Charlie’s character so much.

I just finished The Charlie Method and really enjoyed it. Charlie is such a fun and layered character—she’s the smart, polished sorority girl by day but has this wild, adventurous side at night. I loved seeing her try to figure out who she really is and where she belongs. The romance was definitely spicy and entertaining. Charlie with Will and Beckett made for a lot of fun moments, though I did feel like Beckett got more focus than Will at times. Still, the chemistry between all three was strong and kept me hooked. What I liked most was how the story mixed the steam with real emotion—family issues, identity, and the pressure of expectations. It wasn’t just fluff; there was some depth too. That said, a few parts felt rushed, especially toward the end, and I wished certain plot points had been given more time. Overall, I’d give it about 4 stars. It’s a steamy, fast-paced read with plenty of heart, perfect if you’re already a fan of Elle Kennedy’s Briar U universe.
