I have got the sixth edition(2018)[green colour cover] which has more pages with respect to the 5 th edition(2012)[orange colour cover] .....the sixthe edition book has 1024 pages whereas fifth edition has 900 pages ... the printing colour is also chaged with different colored pages.....

Excellent book for b tech students i.e those who are new to the subject. It covers from the basics to most of the key concepts in the power electronics subject. It has enough problems to understand the concepts , what we are come across theory in the book. Best reference book for preparing exams like GATE and other state competition exams.

An excellent book for Electrical (EEE) Engineering students. A widely recommend one.

This book is very good to study power electronics in detail. there is good amount of theory and solved examples also. the print is 2 colour print so it is nice to look at.however the paper quality is not great. even after using a pencil with light hands, it is carved on another page. and binding is also poor. when I opened the book, binding broke from between the book which is not good.all I can say that it is a must-have book for EE guys.

This is really a fantastic book so lucid in language that a beginner can easily understand. Go for it without any dought. Printing also good in colourfull writing. But despite of having all these this is of bad paper quality. Winding is not up to the mark. Book pages starts torn away after turn over pages once or twice. Advice to book's printing company to improve the paper quality. Rest all good. Content side no problem. Feels comfortable while reading. It may not be d same paper quality wid u too as wid me. Amazon delivery before time they given so satisfied wid delivery.

Very nice book. It is much better than any other books of power electronics if you are beginner of this subject.. Rashid is also good one, but is not for beginners. Better to go through this book first.Concepts of rectifiers, choppers, inverters,etc are very well explain with very student friendly language.

basic and mother book of power electronics subject.... all topics are widely explained with examples... and lots of solved sums are also there...

Best book for GATE & IES Examination
