CACHE Level 3 Early Years Educator for the Classroom-Based Learner

This book is designed for the new course, sadly I felt this was rushed out to meet course deadlines and as such is a second draft rather than edited version, too many errors and contradictions within the book. It covers level 3 on the most part although not in enough detail in places. It also covers level 2 but can be confusing as it is not clearly linked to level 2. In some parts unit numbers do not match course material, again I think because it was published in a hurry and not edited fully. As a tutor and assessor had to recommend to learners as only book on the market, not my preferred author nor format but does support learners to formulate their portfolios of evidence. Sadly lacking is support within the longitudinal study sections, as this unit is more level 4 guidance would have been gratefully received particularly for distance learners who I feel won't learn so much from this book. Classroom discussion is essential to correct errors and expand knowledge to a practice standard as well as knowledge standard. Moving forward it's ok as a textbook, wordy descriptions and supports learning to an extent. Some prior knowledge is essential to spot and correct errors.

Very much so, i'm doing level 2 in the course so am pleased to have alot of links to what assignments i have, its more helpful than level 2Really clear as well

Got this for my daughter who has started course recentlly. The book helps her a lot . Delivery was quick and got a happy sixteen year old so win win .

Really useful book, clearly laid out and well written. Some units are useful for level 2 learners, which is good as there is no level 2 book out yet.
