I had brought this book back when it came out in 2002. As I read through it, I was amazed at how many different kinds of protection you can create for yourself, and for All situations. I wrote down the ones i thought i would need in my everyday life, into a small pocket notebook. Let me tell you, over the years i remebered them when I needed them most!I had loaned the book out years ago, and will never see it again! But last year i found that little notebook and said to myself, I know there was a lot more I am missing. So when i was able I bought another copy. Woohooo i am so happy, because i didnt realize just how much i was missing!!! This book covers All you need to protect yourself and your family against everyday negative thoughts from others, who most likely dont even know they are doing so.One day about 5 or 6 years ago, my sister in law called me and was freaking out. She and I have a psychic connection, and she was stating that there is nothing but negative energy in and around her house. Now this was at 8pm at night and on the phone, and I had to go outside to hear her. and so, i was surprised I remebered one of the protection spells, How to Clear a Space (Diane's Method) I was able to calm her down enough so I can talk her through the cleaning. Using Both of our energies I was sure we could do it. I went step by step with her as we cleared the house and yards. When we were done, I asked how she was feeling, and she was so much calmer and felt the positive energy return. I said OK, my job is done, call any time hahaha....Just this One protection Method to help my family was well worth the cost of this book. There has been many more times this help has come through!I hope sharing this story with you helps in your decision about this book. I swear by it, Diane packed Soo much info in, I for one am very thankful to her, for putting a book like this together, it has saved me many times!!!

I can't say I have ever been the victim of hex, spell or curse, but experienced an incident not too long ago where I felt a psychic read me without my permission at a small public event. I think she saw I was intuitive and wanted to know if I was a potential threat. I do volunteer energy work/healing at the local hospitals, but haven't ever been drained or had a negative reaction so never thought about protecting myself from the energy intrusions of others. To be honest until this incident I thought of energetic protection as unnecessary for me even through I work with energy. The incident made me think about protecting and shielding myself from energetic intrusions.There are a variety of protection techniques covering many situations such as protecting your energy while giving a reading, in crowds/gatherings, at home and work, in relationships, and how to lift a hex, spell or curse, psychic attacks, etc. The book doesn't represent just one path of protection such as Wicca or Christian, but is a blend of techniques taken from different cultures. True to the name of the book, there are some techniques using white light, but there are also rituals, aura cleansing, angels, prayer, throwing energy, affirmations, herbs, smudges, baths, crystals, charms, creating a dream pillow, etc. Since there are quite a few areas covered no area is covered deeply and some chapters are more in the cautionary tale vein, but as the techniques are kept simple and the book covers a variety of situations I think it serves as a suitable basic primer and reference. I also believe simple techniques are usually the best and the author also reminds us to not invite trouble or take risks we don't have to. If you follow a particular spiritual path some of the techniques could probably be adjusted to suit your needs. Readers can always look up more information on a specific technique or area of protection elsewhere if needed. There is a helpful glossary in the back and an index.

Diane Ahlquist's 'White Light' book is an immensely helpful book for my own personal use, and as a thorough guideline for assisting my clientele's needs. As an intuitive/psychic/medium of many years, I recently had a client request that I do a clearing for him and his home due to the evil casting of spells and hexes upon him. I shied away from this request at first, but after reading this book, I felt fully confident that I could successfully perform the work. As a result, the clearing went exceptionally well, and I was able to help my client feel safe, informed, and protected both during and after the clearing.In 'Part 1. Living Dangers', Section 3, the author describes "Careers That Are Prone To Psychic Attack". This is a very unique section that surprising listed most all of the professions my clientele are involved in; Healthcare Professionals, Airline Professionals, Law Enforcement, Legal Professionals, and Salespeople.I am always searching for highly spiritual, useful and practical ways to enhance my practice, and this book has been a valuable addition to my library. I would recommend it to anyone that is involved in serving the Light, whether personally or vocationally. It is defiantly one to keep close at hand for reference.

Really good book! I like the way it is written. I have many protection books, but I like this one the best. It even has how to deal with dysfunctional relationships . It has rituals, blessing for purification and even how to create your own .dream pillow to repel nightmares and insomnia. From this book I now know who the energy vampires are in my life!!! and how to protect myself. Well worth reading.
