Misleading information on product
Have changed my review after getting write product.This is hand pounded rice.

It smells like bhc powder. Horrible
It smells like BHC powder which is used to kill ants. Even after washing 8 times with water, the smell isn’t going away.. they have added too much bhc powder to prevent insects which is too toxic for health.the product mentioned it was organic so I bought. It’s totally fake info. Think twice before buying.

Fantastic Brown Rice
This is the best Brown rice by far that I have found on India Amazon. Very good unpolished, real Brown Sonamasuri rice. This is a complex carb whole food packed with fibre, protein (yes - clean plant based protein!), vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients. This is very bio-available (easily digested and the nutrients are absorbed by the body) and for me, the effects of consuming this are clearly visible within a few days (feeling of greatly increased strength, energy and muscle mass). Amazing super food.I was actually looking for long grain Brown Basmati rice as that has the best glycemic index (low) but could not find a good one in the market. The popular brands are not good quality anymore. This Brown Sonamasuri rice is a close compromise from Basmati and is much better than the so called 'Brown Basmati' from other brands that I tried.However, food is digested differently in different people - so you may want to try a smaller pack first to see if it suits you and whether you like it. For me, this is my favorite Brown rice that I found in India (ofcourse I looked only on Amazon and local retail stores and did not explore direct small farmers which would have been ideal).
