Altec Lansing LifeJacket 2 IMW577 Bluetooth Speaker (Aqua Blue)

Absolutely in love with this Altec Lansing Lifejacket 2 Bluetooth speaker. I bought this speaker three months back. After using this speaker rigorously, I decided to post this review on this product. As I stay in hostel, I was able to check other products such as JBL Pulse, JBL Flip2, JBL Flip3 and UE Boom which are owned by my friends but, at this price point, this is a beast. Please note Bluetooth speaker will never be as good as sound systems so, we have to make our mindset keeping this fact in our mind. Below is my detailed analysis of this speaker.Pros:1) Two huge speakers and one bass radiator at the back produce amazing crystal clear sound with bass punch. Even at the highest volume I did not notice any distortion of sound. You will definitely fall in love with this speaker if you are a music lover.2) IPX67 waterproof/dustproof/shockproof system. If you seal the rubber flap at the back of this speaker where charging port, 3.5 mm aux port and usb ports situate, you can literally take this anywhere in the water up to 1 meter depth. I tried it in the swimming pool but nothing happened. It floats like a boat. even on water it produces amazing sound. I also deliberately threw the speaker from my study table (heigh-3.5 feet) but nothing happened.3) Amazing battery back up. It easily gives 8 hours of battery juice even on full volume and with 50% volume it gives nearly 14 hours of uninterrupted music.4) You can use the speakers battery as power-bank in any emergency case if you need to charge your smartphone.5) Hassle free connectivity. And you can connect the speaker through multiple ways such as through Bluetooth, NFC and AUX.6) If you are adventurous in nature and want to hear songs while biking, this speaker comes with bike mount with it. You can easily fix the speaker with your bi-cycle or bike.7) The speaker comes with a protective soft bag to store it.Cons:1) This speaker is a bit heavy compared to its competitors weighing nearly 750 grams.2) Sometimes, if any obstacle comes between the music source and speaker when the speaker is connected through Bluetooth, disturbances occur in sound play.Final Verdict: A great option if you want to buy a quality Bluetooth speaker. It might be a bit too early to write this review as the product got delivered on 4 days back, but THIS IS AMONG THE MOOOOST SATISFYING PURCHASE I HAVE EVER MADE!!! It is rugged. I did throw it a few times (though from a height of just 3 ft.) and it is rugged. Hell, it is waterproof! I threw it in my swimming pool and guess what? It bloody floats and plays the music! (if only the water is steady and it is facing up). I personally love the way it looks and I know, what you are interested in is the sound, right? Well... ummm... Bro! and Sis! go for it. It's loud, alright? I love the bass feeling and the clarity, thought it can't replace a home theatre, but I love it. Am I missing something? Oh yes! it was delivered really fast! like 2 days man!

Awesomeness in a pack.. Playing loud and clear. But yes depends on the audio quality of your file too. Dint check for waterproofness yet. Though the product had a fall n still doing great.. Works great outdoors..

Got this machine long back. My JBL which I bought after this was spoilt in 2 years, but this one just doesn't give up. It this one is still killing it and how.There was slight issue with the charging. Got it fixed locally as they don't have any service center in India anymore.But still does a good job.

Exactly what I thought it would be. Haven't tried it in a pool yet though. Cant wait to try it though! Sound quality is excellent, even the base from such a small gadget. My music is sorted for all my trips now. Now I take the party with me where I go!

I am music lover......after ascent from diving on boat I love to listen music on wet hand also I can operate and nothing to worry for such a speaker . lifejacket 2 is awesome .

What a product, just loved it. Haven't tested its water proof abilities but the build quality, sound quality and performance is amazing. Definitely recommend this product. Happy shopping.,
