Matsui isolation valve is the best design I have found. The products are now made in China to Japanese specifications in order to reduce the cost. Therefore, better value for the customer. This kit allows for the annual “flush cleaning” of limescale in a water tank, heater, or tankless water heater. The tiny stop valves open and close in tight spaces and are quality thickness. Competitor valves are are large arms - typical shut-off levers. These always show corrosion after one year and get worse on the metal arm and the cold zinc coated nuts. I pay a premium for Matsui to get quality that will last longer than my lifetime. The recommended valves that all tankless water heater makers recommend and sometimes RE-brand with their corporate name; eg. Rinnai Isolation Valve kit is in fact Matsui Isolation Valve Kit, same for Noritz, etc. Can not go wrong with this unit!

These came with Rinnai right on the handles so they will go great on my Rinnai on demand water heater...heavy duty hardware. Very nice!

Used on my Rinnai R98LS that was only originally installed with a cold inlet shutoff. Now I can shut it off both sides, flush it with ease and I have a PRV for emergencies. Used Sharkbite fittings to plumb into house. Replaced everything in about 1 hour. Valves are super smooth and all machining was excellent. Great product, fast order shipping and well packaged.

I bought these to replace the manifolds on my Rinnai C199 commercial tankless water heaters.They appeared to be identical to the ones that came with the C199s. I installed them on Sunday. I thought it would be very easy, with the union on one end and threads on the other,but it turns out the union for the existing manifold is slightly shorter than the new ones, so I had to take them back apart (3 heater units, 6 manifolds) and replace the male ends of the unions with the new ones. No big deal, but I could have saved some time if I'd known.11/2/21: Another fail. The ones I received are NOT what is shown in the picture. The upper, male half of the unions is missing, and theses DO NOT fit the unions that I have.Ordering these is a complete crap-shoot, and you might get what's shown in the picture, or not. Seems to be about 50-50. I'll be returning these and have a somewhat crippled water heating system until I can get the RIGHT, complete, kits!A year later and it's time to replace the valves again--our water sucks. The first set came with both halves of the unions. This set did not come with the male halves, and the unions on the valves do not fit the unions from the previous set. I'm returning them, and this leaves me a lurch, as I can't descale the 3 Rinnais we have without shutting down an entire brewery hot water supply while I do it.BigFrog supply really dropped the ball on this.Now, where can I fond the proper valves with the correct union fittings so I can get my system functioning again?

Installation on the tankless heater was a breeze, quality and features are good, would buy it again.

Fit Takagi, as good as the watts that I used last time. I like that you have to use a wrench to open the flush ports. Came branded Rinnai, don't know if that makes a difference to anyone.

High quality product. Valve kit was not challenging to install. Best isolation valve out there.

Bought this for my Rheem Water Heater. Good build quality with very clear instruction. Works well and easy to install.
