Arrived in good condition. Very good for explaining math to small children.

My child finished the first grade. While her English got a 4/4 on report card, her math was only 2/4. When I first looked at the questions in this book, I was disappointed that the 70 questions are almost equally easy, too easy to use any brain from my point of view. My child, however, had great difficulty at the beginning. I asked her to try 2 to 4 questions a time. She finished 40 questions now and has no problem figuring out whether to use plus or minus. Her logic obviously improved.

Love love love these word problems for my six year old. One page a day is all you will need. By the time you reach the end Your kid will understand the idea of problem solving and will think in mathematical form when needed.

The word problems are basic but are great practice for students to figure out how to handle word problems. My focus is not the answer, but how to FIGURE OUT the answer. The issue we are having is that my 1st grader worked through this book in a month and the next level is for 3rd grade. So, I guess we are moving on. I wish this book had more problems, or there was a next book for 2nd grade.

we've just begun using singapore math [math in focus] and using number bonds and bar models is something new both for the students and the teachers! this book gives extra practice AND it gives a complete example of the answer with a model for each problem-exactly what i was looking for! I like it as it has lot of questions for kids to practice and learn different patterns.would definitely recommend this book for kids

The book itself is good and the shipping is fast, but there's only one question per page, and the question is not challenging for a 1st grader!

We don't get any homework from school. This book is a great resource to practice word problems at home. Just the right level of difficulty for the first grader and in line with curriculum. Highly recommended.

The book in total has 70 lines, such as 19-6=13 And up to 70 only, written as word problems My son would do all in 30 mins and he’s grade 1. What a waste of $24AUD, can I get a refund if the book is even below an Australia kindy workbook?

the book is good, but my sr kg child is able to solve it mentally not challenging enough for a 2nd grader...

Pull out, so they don’t feel overwhelmed by the book.
