Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin (PS4)

The first thing I wanna do is go all "OMG! This game is sooo amazing! I'm addicted to it and it just keeps getting better. Buy it no matter what!" But hey, that's just how I feel, not a review.This is the most refined Dark Souls experience out there. For those of you who don't even know about this game (95% of you, I suspect).. here's a quick breakdown.Since day one, I haven't encountered a single bug, update was short and sweet and game runs really well with beautiful graphics and it's highly optimized to run on almost any modern PC.What makes this game so different is that the creator has made it how he wants it. It needs to be perfect for HIM and not for what different players ask for and since he is a genius and puts all his passion into it, that's a good thing. The gameplay is simple and full of weight. Every action you perform matters heavily and will be a matter of life or death in seconds. It needs you to concentrate, focus, calculate and react instantly. You will die many times and it will teach you what you are doing wrong and when you overcome the odds and beat a tough boss and clear an area, it will be probably the most satisfying thing you've felt in a game yet. Spectacular gameplay aside, the overall atmosphere is very engaging, beautiful and mysterious as you travel through the different locations with their own theme and properties in a grand medieval setting. So if you're looking for a light and casual experience like Assassin's Creed (Where everything is as easy as 1 little 'happy puppy' button press), please don't bother. However, if you think you've got what it takes to rise above that, this is the most fulfilling and challenging action RPG out there and for this price, it's a steal!It is known for it's difficulty but I'll assure you that it's far from impossible and if you need help, I'll be happy to show you the ropes on Steam~ Praise the sun!

This was my second souls game after dark souls 1 and I have to say I absolutely loved it! The thing that makes this game so appealing is the combat and difficulty! Soulsborne games have the best gameplay ever! There are so many weapons and armor to choose from.This game is also called Fashion Souls for variety of armor! And for those who were disappointed with the pvp in dark souls 1 will be excited that this game has the best PVP ever! Definitely better than Dark Souls 3.You can make every build viable as long as you have the skills! What makes you want to play this game over and over is NG+.Even after you finish the game you will still find enjoyment in NG+ with new enemy placements and whatnot! What makes souls game so damn satisfying is the joy you get after you defeat a very hard boss! This game has a lot of hard bosses! You will definitely enjoy it! Now some answers for the PS4 version:-The game runs on Smooth 60 FPS-The game comes with all the DLC-The game doesn't have any dlc code,all the dlc is in the disc along with the game-The cover shown here is the japanese one you will instead get the western version but that's no problem cause it still looks good-The delivery is very fast and the product is in top notch conditionPRAISE THE SUN!

Game disc was in perfect condition but the disc was loose inside the case...this is my first time so i don't know if it's usual.The disc case was pretty filmsy in my opinion.The game itself i played on pc,it was my first souls game and the boss fights really gave me nightmares.I agree with others as to it's rewarding nature through progression into the story and levelling up.Let's not forget fashion souls if you are into it.But you should acquire a true hd tv to bring out the graphic enhancements done for ps4.Trust me i'm stuck with a 32inch (768p i think) not so true hd tv and it isn't the same when we view the trailers in high resoulution.I noticed that they gave me an american version of the game.While i haven't faced any problems since i am new,others might not like it.

The product was neatly packed and activating on steam was quick.An extra 50 Mb will be updated after installation.As for the game if you don't have it, you missed something special. I know it's kind of hard but once you play for a couple of hours you won't stop.Try it for yourself and then thank me.If you have original DSII with all DLC's it's not worth upgrading to it, the graphics remains the same only the addition of new enemies at a few places.

This is my all time favourite game and have played dark souls 2 in ps3 for 1 year and spent Rs. 2500 in 3 dlc, despite that purchased the ps4 version. ps4 version as usual is far superior than ps3. u have to look for the 3 dlc keys in the main game to play the dlcs. As usual 5 star service from amazon.

Better than getting DS2 vanilla and the DLC separately, and there are a few new weapons and a new final boss. IMO this is truly the definitive version of the game.

Everyone hates it, but it's the most refined souls game and most balanced one.
