Q: How is the comfort level when sitting long term like at work or driving?

As far as the insertable part of the plug itself, there is no problem with long-term wear. It's very comfortable, and the smooth surface does not produce any irritation. The weight acts as a gentle reminder that it's there.Unfortunately, the external part -- the oval loop that look like a bottle opener (and might actually work for removing bottle caps) -- has sharp-edged ridges around both sides. These are OK for the first one to two hours, but after a while they start to dig in and create an ever increasing level of discomfort. I noticed this also when wearing the plug overnight -- the external area was irritated. It would greatly improve this product if the manufacturer would get rid of the sharp edges and change them to gently rounded edges.I do like putting this in for a relatively short errand, like heading out for dinner, where I will be able to remove it within a couple of hours before it starts chafing.

The weird size refers to the size of the BOX it comes in. The part that goes in is 1” wide at its widest for the small, 1.25” wide for the medium, and 1.5” wide for the large, and they make one called the 2.0 that is 2” in diameter.

Q: Is it made of solid gold? Why so expensive?

No, it is not made of gold. It is made of high quality stainless steel. Do you want to put something in your body that may cause you health problems? The work that goes into making these and shipping them to the United States from Asia is very expensive because they are so heavy. The manufacture sets the price on what they pay. They have not raised the price in almost 10 years. There are cheaper products on the market but you are also getting a lot less quality.

Q: Does this make contact with the prostate?

Hello! It would depend on the body. Njoy does make a unit designed to touch the prostate.
