D-Link DWR-710 3G USB Modem Soft WiFi Router (White)

The best thing about this router is that you can connect it directly to your PC/Laptop and use it for accessing internet or you could connect it to your smartphone charging plug (with a USB connecting pin) or power bank and use it. I think upto 8 devices can be connected simultaneously via WiFi. The only drawback that I encountered is that it's not effective at approx. more than 6 to 7m range and obstructions like walls & closed doors. You need to use a mini SIM (normal SIM) for internet. You could also use a micro SIM but with a SIM adapter. Overall I feel good with my purchase decision as 3G and 4G speeds are more or less still comparable in India.

A must buy product from D link Really A good deal who want use internet in 2 or more devices So lets Talk about product...1.As compared to Huawei 8231 This one means dlink will win By a huge margin so If you are confused Between These two go for this one as i used both.2.Rating battle- Comparing to Huawei This one has less rating Main reason is collaboration or Huawei and amazon u will not able to give less stars and bad rating they will not approve Of they start to approve it will go near 3 starts Leave it Talking abt this it having a huge range Comparing to Huawei and Speed to and The biggest option 3g only which is not in Huawei 8231

The product is great...just the way it is described.The only cons. is No USSD as u might see in other reviews but hope that would be no issue if in future the makers upgrade the firmware version.Frankly speaking, I did not face any disconnection issue that is being described in certain reviews.. I dont know why they say that the Dongel disconnects after some time.its fine....the problem might be of the Operator...not this device............Overall No issues faced till date....reviewing after a 20 days after purchase..Also that Amazon service is also great...I surfed a lot almost wasted about 500mb searching for a plug and play wifi dongel that would just start hotspot just Photon plus/whiz...got it from amazon for Rs. 300 less....t5 than Flipkart..

Speed is extremely less. The same network browsed through Lenovo smart phone gave me 5 times speed. There is always network detection problem. Just 2 weeks into my hand and above problems from day 2, I need to visit the D-Link service centre to clear the problem. My first product from D-Link gave me the best impression. (Review given in April 2017)March 2020Still using it after 3 years. Kept it idle & unused for one year in between. But the device started working again after some minor issues initially. However, frequent network drop is the major issue while using BSNL. Usually runs on 2G even when other devices in the vicinity run on 3G.

I'm using it with BSNL sim. It isn't a 4g hotspot as mentioned on amazon because the box says its 2G/3G....When I first plugged it in, all my 6 devices were continuously disconnecting.... Now I changed the broadcasting channel from 6 to Automatic - now it's working fine...It can also be used a dongle without setting it up! you just have to plug it in and wait for 10-15 seconds.WiFi Range in my house only up to kitchen from bedroom... and extremely weak at the living room so its better to plug it somewhere in center of your house...

The Product is good..I think is a russian product not a chinese product..It's better to purchase D-link rather than Zte(chinese company)..First of all the Feed ex service is very very poor.. i recevied very late rather compared to delhivery which is much faster..If any product if you find Feed-ex , then it will take more than a week to deliver.. so kindly note it.Regarding about product:Pros:-Faster connectivity-Most important thing is that we can change manually network mode from automatic to 3G mode only , which benifits the user to access 3g where coverage is poor.-Good wifi configuaration.-Good range- Device dosen't heat too much after using many hours.-supports all GSM sims in india.-Inbuilt hotspot.. so can be plug in adapter or powerbanks and use wifi of the dongle in any device.Cons:Major drawback is it doesn't support USSID codes so we can't check balance. But if you have unlimited plans or your network provider has facility to give to alearts of your usage by sms , then no need to worry. buy this product blindly..I prefered D-link over Huwavei becoz none of Huwavi modem has facility to switch to 3g mode only.

Wifi !!!!!!!! this one thing attracts everyone !!!but this is not a proper router for heavy users, its very good for home use. this router is very simple to use everyone,connect to your mobile charger's slot & automatically its wifi is activates. Now days every people using 4G devices but 3G is not bad, it is powered 3.75 G so you can easily get 4-7 mbps speed.use good network provided sim & insert to it. Note that ussd feature is not available.PLUG AND PLAY

I bought this for Bsnl Unlimited 1099 plan . when i put the sim it automatically detect apn and connected in 1 minute and then i put it on my terrace becoz for better internet and connect this to a repeater for better internet in my home . i got approx 6-12 Mbps Speed which is approx 800 KBps - 1.5 MBps on IDM . I DONT SWITCH IT OFF ANYWAY , It is regularly connected to internet from 2 months no switch off . no problem at all only first one which i got has hardware failure then i replace it in week with amazon in one week now my new one is working fine and the hardware version of new one is b1 and the old one which hardware failed is c1 so i think b1 is better then c1 becoz my working fine from two months . i am enjoying it much.
