This book has an exceptional compilation of crochet stitches,motifs( granny squares,triangles,circles,hexagons) and one of a kind borders.I have not come across such varied ,practical and beautiful trimmings till now.When the book says 500 crochet stitches,it includes all the above.There are many stitches ideal for sweaters as they will make solid fabrics.and some more that are a bit loose and wavy.There are both charts and written explanations,and the author keeps on giving little tit bits of advice in caption boxes.I have been a huge fan of betty bernard,but this book is as thorough as hers is.Exceptionally glad to have found this book in India.Thanks a lot to Amazon for making world one place to live in the true sense!

This is the most amazing book! I first borrowed it from the library to see it for myself before buying! I love the format of the book, the clear photographs, the stitch diagrams, and how it gives the "multiples" info. for patterns that repeat. Plus, it has many beautiful stitches. I will learn a lot from this book.

I bought this as I am a beginner. YouTube is great but some forget that you are just starting and their directions aren't clear. Sometimes you can't see clearly what they are doing and it leads to confusion. This book is clear, with good examples. Just remember that if you are a beginner you have to give yourself a break. You will make mistakes but this book is a good visual aid.

so very happy with this book not just written info but pictures too. I would say a must for beginner or experienced crocheter. this is going to be my go bible I totally love it . written well, so you understand how to do these stitches with pictures of the stitched swatch and the chart too.
