iFixit Pro Tech Toolkit Electronics, Smartphone, Computer and Tablet Repair Kit

Already started my own repair journey, thanks to the guides online and this Kit. Absolutely love the quality of the product. The pricing is a bit on the heavier side for most people, but I would say it is worth the money for the quality you receive. I hope it becomes cheaper in the future.

The toolkit is as described. Real high quality material and fits every tech nerds' needs. You will feel the premium product is as good as they describe on the ifixit official website. Came in well packed and sorted. Cons: To get this in India, pass through customs and all that makes it very expensive. A70$ worth of product to buy at 16.5k is a little pinch I must say. But it gets the job done, so not complaining much. The seller STS shop was really cooperative. I placed my order on the 20th of September. My estimated shipping date from the US was between 4-10th October and delivery date was between 11th -15th October. I received my product in hand on 3rd of October even before the estimated shipping date so kudos to the seller providing top notch shipping eveb during covid times. Also the seller responds to messages in less than 2 hours which is a first time experience for me on Amazon.

Fantastic and genuine product. Works like a charm. Used it to replace my hdd with ssd in laptop. Handled the job perfectly. Packing was also good. Only issue is price which is out of control due to Customs. Product was delivered in 2 weeks.

Everything was packaged perfectly and the items received were brand new and not damaged. It was above the retail price by quite a margin but it is understandable due to ifixit not producing anything in india

Very good quality and well thought out features. Price is inflated in India, would have been good value at half the price, especially when compared to other similar offerings.

I was playing some of that new Animal Crossing early last month, you know? Around the time when that psychotic rabbit was hiding eggs in every surface of every object and you were left smashing your shovel for worthless resources? Right after that event. After a three hour play session I placed my Nintendo Switch into its official dock to charge. After an hour of not playing I decided I should play again- Don't judge me. I mean what else would I be doing? Its an actual pandemic and I have nothing better to do. If I am honest though, I have nothing to do on normal days as I am a complete shut in with no friends. But regardless I'm sure this whole locking yourself in your house all day thing is doing terrible things to my mental state, I just haven't noticed it yet. Oh right, anyways; Wouldn't you know it, the damned thing killed it self- on the official Nintendo Switch dock no less. The Switch's screen was backlit but the whole console was unresponsive. A forced restart later had baby raging when it didn't start up. I mean I actually pouted, alone, in my house. Good thing no one will ever know how stupid I looked. Of course, its quarantine season so nothing is open. Of course! I cannot even buy a new one due to the Switch suddenly becoming a block of actual gold on store shelves. Nintendo had also taken the opportunity to not take any more repairs (Lets be honest they probably want a break from the joysticks, right?) and none of my local shops in my city are open to do a third party fix. Well, guess who has the time to learn? Me. That's right baby! I have taken on the responsibility to fix my own devices! After scanning through my city's stores looking for a Y000 bit to open the back of this gods forsaken device I stumbled upon this heck of a anti-security screw kit here. Easiest purchase of my life. Placed my order April 20, 2020. And waited. ... So after getting a notice saying it was going to take a whole month (May 23rd) I went pure caveman. I savagely found a larger sharp pointed Y00 and made it fit. So needless to say I am now looking into how to get a completely stripped and cratered Y000 out of Nintendo Switch. Turns out I have no idea what I am looking for. Sure, the back is off now, but it looks like a wild dog travelled a mile with the Switch in its mouth and I have no idea what is actually wrong. It is chip related and I have no idea what I am doing. So yesterday? I think it was yesterday- god, all my days are mashing together into one long day with dark moments. Anyways, I got a package! The "ifixit Pro Tech Tookit" showed up a week earlier then expected! It looks and feels great in hand and has a boat-load of tools in it! Everything you would ever need to do some repairs on your small electronics. It even has that Y000 I was after last month too. Cool... cool... So if anyone knows a good way to get the absolutely flattened remnants of a Y000 out of a hole, please hit me up. I want to clean this thing up a bit before I deliver it to the local repair shop.

Veramente soddisfatto di questo kit, iFixit è un brand affidabile e qui si nota molta cura per il prodotto. Il kit comprende: - la scatola con il cacciavite che comprende (la scatola si attacca magneticamente): - cacciavite con attacco magnetico e parte superiore che può ruotare; - prolunga flessibile per il cacciavite - un set di tantissime punte (comprese quelle per iPhone e Mac) - 3 pinze di forme diverse; - una spatolina; - vari attrezzi per il prime; - una ventosa; - un braccialetto per scaricare l'elettricità statica del corpo; Non sono sicuro di questo ma penso che la parte magnetica dove poggia la scatola del cacciavite sia intesa anche per ospitare le viti che toglierete. Essa è infatti una piastra magnetica che può essere facilmente estratta. Sembra però molto fragile e si piega facilmente, per cui è meglio usarla lasciandola inserita nella custodia. Certo, non è economico, con 10 euro in uno store di bricolage potete prendere un cacciavite con 35 punte, ma con questo kit (con bel 65 inserti) si hanno molte punte strane. Punte che non si trovano normalmente in quei kit, quelli sono kit pensati per un uso comune. Questo ha punte come quella per l'iPhone, piccolissima e pentastellata. Normalmente poi i kit da 10 euro hanno il corpo del cacciavite in plastica, qui è tutto metallo e la parte superiore gira in modo perfetto (probabilmente con dei cuscinetti). Volendo, la scatola nera con i cacciaviti è venduta separatamente, ma se comprate un kit iFixit suppongo siate persone che fanno certi lavori o operazioni non comunissime. Per questo motivo che trovo il kit completo un must per chi lavora con l'elettronica e chi deve aprire telefoni o computer (soprattutto gli ultimi mac) perchè da altri accessori oltre al cacciavite che sono vitali. Solo per cambiare uno schermo o una batteria di un iPhone userete molti dei tool in confezione, i bastoncini blu per scollegare i connettori, la ventosa e i plettri per estrarre lo schermo, le varie pinzette saranno utilissime per maneggiare i vari cavi. In conclusione, è un un kit con caratteristiche premium (materiali, qualità costruttiva, accessori per tutte le evenienze) venduto giustamente ad un prezzo premium. Se siete persone che impallidiscono anche solo all'idea di aprire un telefono questo kit non fa per voi, vi basta quello da 10 euro dei negozi di bricolage che ha tutte le punte necessarie per un uso comune. Se invece dovete cambiare un componente del telefono o qualunque prodotto di elettronica questo kit fa per voi. Io personalmente l'ho preso perchè devo sostituire la batteria dell'iPhone 6 (questo kit in futuro servirà di sicuro ad altro) inoltre questo kit mi costava quanto andare da qualcuno per ripararlo e le batterie costano sui 15 euro. Con questo kit e le guide sul sito di iFixit si possono fare molte cose, super consigliato.
