Take your time and make sure you understand the instructions
This is made of what I call wood chips and glue. It is very heavy. After I got it inside my house, I unpacked it downstairs and took the parts upstairs in several trips and built it in the room where it will stay. No problem, but much easier than trying to carry it upstairs in the shipping container. The instructions are good and accurate. It went together OK and looks fine. I recommend adding a few tools to the list given: a rubber mallet to help align the sides and set the dowels, and an “L”-shaped T-square to make sure it is properly aligned. If you have a screw starter for Phillips heads, that will help, too. I also stood it up before installing the doors because I was concerned about flipping it upright fully assembled due to the weight. Turned out to be a bit more of a hassle, so take your pick. And the hinges are adjustable. Don’t tighten them down before you try to hang the doors. You need the play to align them for the pre-drilled screw holes and then adjust the closure. The Amazon listing recommends two people for assembly. Probably easier with two, especially in view of the weight, but I did it by myself. Looks very nice finished, and if you want to add extra shelves, it wouldn’t be hard to do that. The little shelf support pins are standard sized. Overall, I am very happy with it, especially at the price.

Has some positive features
Keeping in mind this is the cheapest glass door book shelf on the market, it's not that bad. It is all particle board covered with wallpaper, but that's what you get in today's market. The sellers packaged this very securely. I saw it drop to the ground when delivered, yet the fall didn't break the glass. If you follow the instructions this thing will not last long. I glued every contact together and I added corner support boards. I stapled the back with an air gun, and the staples are every two inches apart. Later, I will add shelf support to the two movable shelf's. It looks great and it is now very sturdy. Do your homework, and it will last a long time.

Pray nothing comes damaged
I ordered March 3rd, received March 8th. Amazon shipping was obviously pretty fast and on time from what they said it would be, actually early by several days even though I hit the I'm okay waiting button. Everything looks pretty nice considering it's compressed wood. Not sure how sturdy it is yet since i haven't been able to finish building it. :/ The toe kick on the shelf came damaged, and I had to order a replacement. Contacted manufacturer by email the 24th, received reply the 25th. They put in the replacement part order on the 26th, and it says it's shipped the 28th. Not too bad. Arrives April 3rd. So 9 days from the point of the part actually being ordered. Not even counting the 3 days before that emailing and giving them the information they wanted. Now see, I wouldn't even be that angry, except, they had a literally photo of the item i ordered with a text description of it and its color, through the screen shot of the amazon receipt. So the explanation for why I was sent a toe kick in the wrong color is just unreasonable. I understand mistakes happen, but if you know a customer has already contacted once, and that you(same service person unless it's a chat bot?) personally made a mistake, why would you not put a rush on the order? I contacted them the same day I received the wrong color toe kick, and they didn't even ship the item until today, Apr 10th, even though they placed the order on the 4th. I'm sorry but that's just insane. If it takes as long to get here as the last one, i'm gonna be waiting until april 19th(25days) just to get this stupid toe kick with my half finished shelf in my living room for almost two months. :/ So basically, it's a decent shelf. It looks nice, and seems like it'll be relatively stable once the toekick is in and there are more shelves bracing it, may update my rating if it is. But be aware, if anything is broken, you may possibly be waiting an unreasonably long time to get the right part. =_= Finally got the right color toe kick apr 18. It's definitely very sturdy feeling now that it's fully built. The wood surface did have a few little nicks in it but I honestly can't be sure that wasn't from me having to move it around so much while trying to finish building it since it chips easy. The doors don't quite align right with the screw holes that were provided on the doors. If you do some wiggling you can get everything pretty close though if you don't want to just move the screw. But overall looks pretty nice.

You get what you pay for.
The veneer is so thin, it might as well be a paint or stain. There were nicks, chips and gouges on both units I purchased. The instructions need to be better. I figured things out, only after reading ahead of the instructions and using some logic. One unit has extra parts the other has missing ones, but, if course, the missing ones weren't the duplicated ones. The parts need to be packaged better. Overall, these aren't very expensive (I paid around $170), so you get what you pay for. The only problem is that because they're made from a low quality particle board, they are not very sturdy and will not survive many moves, if you move a lot...

Exceptional Service with Ameriwood Home: Frustration to Satisfaction
I initially felt disheartened after multiple attempts at assembling my cabinet. However, contacting Ameriwood Home's customer support turned out to be a game changer! Tesia, the agent who assisted me, was incredibly patient and empathetic. Although I was reluctant to return the cabinet, I was quite fond of it. Tesia promptly addressed the issue with the misaligned doors by sending me helpful links and instructional videos that same day. Following her advice, I dismantled and reassembled the cabinet, and to my delight, the doors aligned perfectly with no gaps at the top. I did see I still need to make a small adjustment to the small space between the two doors, not really concerned. I’ll figure it out. Additionally, Ameriwood Home offers a user-friendly feature on their website for requesting replacement parts for missing or damaged items. The form is straightforward—just provide proof of purchase, the model number, and upload pictures of the damaged parts. By the next morning, Tesia had confirmed via email the order for my replacement parts, and impressively, there was no charge for shipping. This level of service truly exemplifies outstanding customer care—I've never experienced anything quite like it! Despite a few initial setbacks, I wouldn't hesitate to shop with Ameriwood Home again. A big thank you to Tesia for such a remarkable customer service experience! ~ Sabrina

junk
It is a piece of junk. Several shelves had chips or nicks on them. One door fell apart right out of the box. Luckily, the glass didn't break. Too much trouble to send it back especially with its weight. Very unstable when put together. Placed a thin piece of birch plywood to the back and that helped stablize the unit. Also, used some glue to help. Will have to rebuild the one door and then after staining it may have to do the other one. If I could give a zero for a rating, I would. I will never buy another piece from Ameriwood again.

Genuinely a good case, maybe I got lucky?
The case looks really good for what I paid (144 at the this time) it’s as sturdy as cheap furniture can get just don’t go letting people bump into it with the might of a linebacker and you should be good the only issue I ran into was with the holes for the doors not being in the same spot on both sides (I’ll throw an image up) but the hinges have some adjusting room for that problem. As for the instructions they were Fairly easy to understand

Price and Quality - PERFECT!
How someone would think they were buying solid wood anything in today's age is beyond me and at that price! The bookshelves- we bought two - not only went together in a half hour following the instructions and just gently using the tools suggest but have been moved three times intact and look great in our den. I like the glass doors so I do not have to dust often! I also accidentally through out the backing on one with the packaging, and the company shipped me another, free of charge in two days. I used one for my heavy quilting books and the other for our highschool and college yearbooks and journals so they are not 'just a pretty' decor and used often. The base adds support unlike many of the three sided hollow bases and the doors frame and square it well.

Inferior quality
The product arrived with missing screws, holes drilled in the wrong place for the door hinges and damage to the finish. The particleboard is very soft and flakes easily. Inferior quality overall. I would not buy from this company again.
