Excellent rods for the money. Light and balanced
Right up there with the best of the fishing rods I own. 13 guides on this mat daddy rod. Very light and we'll balanced. Quality components and I will be buying more for sure. This is easily nicer than my ducketts, bps carbonlite, cabelas zx rod, halo twilite, skeet Reese rods, dobyns fury, the list goes on. These are very nice rods, especially when found on sale around $100 mark.

Great rod!!
Absolutely the best rod for its price. Super balanced and light. I just bought this and took it out for 3 days of hard fishing. Loved it. Has Great sensitivity and backbone for yanking big bass out of thick cover. Fact it's 50 dollars off on Amazon is a bonus. Do not hesitate to buy. Compared to a loomis or legends st croix, it's worth it the money..mine is paired with the helios 7,3:1 with the power handle. I have the G loomis flipping stick and St. Croix flipping rod, this is best flipping rod I've thrown

It was great all purpose casting rod at first, but...
Update 5/2020: finally busted the rod in 3 pieces boat landing a 4 pound bass. It didn’t last long...Update 8/2019: well it’s been 14 months since I purchased 2 rods (Med & Med heavy). At first I was super stoked, but I’m highly disappointed in the quality control Mr Scott Martin. Both rods have lost the top eye let inserts and one also had a line eyelet (second or third from the top) come loose, but I was able to secure it with super glue. I won’t buy again and don’t recommend for the $.Original post: Durable & flexible action...great selection of power and actions in the line up. I liked it so much I bought a second one. I like the hook keeper on the handle because it keeps the lures & baits far from the rod covers/socks, preventing the hooks from getting caught in the web material.

okuma review
Great rod. Action is a bit lighter than i anticipated. Would recommend for lighter cranks. Paired it with a ci4+ and its very well balanced and light weight.

Great rod series
My absolute favorite rod series. It is rare to find rods with anything less than a fast/extra-fast tip these days, which is a shame because I feel like I have lost so many fish due to rods that are a bit too stiff. These rods are especially good with braid, since they have enough give so that you won't rip the hook out of a fish's mouth but the backbone and guides are strong enough to withstand the shock force of a braid hook-set.Altogether an amazing rod series. I own the 7' MH APC, 7' H Jig/Worm, 7' 3" Frog/Swimbait and the spinning 7' Shakeyhead. I use these rods for 90%+ of my fishing.

very light for a 7'6" rod, haven't had the chance to fish it yet but preliminary casting in my yard and it feels nice, i thought it would have a little more backbone being a H rated rod but i'm still very pleased (maybe i'm unfairly comparing a bass rod to an inshore or musky rod). i set the drag by deadlifting a known amount of weight (in this case 4.5lbs) and the rod has alot of flex.i own a fair bit of okuma products (5 of their better spinners, 3 lever drags and 7 of their rods) and i can't say anything negative about any of it

packaging is worse than awful
Rod is pretty nice. Great feel in your hand, well balanced, and pretty decent sensitivity for the price range. The box was split in half and taped several times. How the rod survived is a mystery. Rod is good, packaging is terrible. All around good rod for the price.

I read a lot of great reviews about these rods online
I read a lot of great reviews about these rods online, but what I got did not deliver on the great reputation. The handle was all mangled and there were pain defects on the rod. I can't tell if quality control didn't do their job or if the rod just hasn't been stored well. Hopefully you will get a better one than I did.
