glad i did. our local zoo sucks. the animals hate us and they dont want to be seen. my sons bday was at this zoo so i brought my handy dandy squirrel call and casually walked ahead of the group and called somewhat quietly to the animals when i could get away with it and lo and behold they started to come out. just in time for my toddler to toddle out and see the lion he so badly wanted to see.since then i have mastered the squirrel language and fostered a peace treaty with my local squirrels. this is a wonderful device for zoo enjoyers to public annoyers to squirrel destroyers alike!you should just buy one.. really. its stupid fun.

Well, I never thought it'd be purchasing a squirrel call, but my son is really into hunting outdoors and animals. So I purchased this one for him because it really was probably the most reasonably priced one that Amazon had once receiving it. It looked to be very good quality. I gave it to my son as a surprise and he was in the backyard calling squirrels for 3 hours so I think it's a good product

It worked great right out of the box. I have had a couple of this type squirrel call, but this one didn't last long! I used it for about 1 month before bellows broke and rendered call useless. Very disappointed in quality of call. Now, looking back at the reviews there are a lot of people having same issue. Junk, do not buy...spend your money on a Quaker boy

You open the box and think this is just so simple and all you hear is honking. Trust me when I say to google 'what sound do squirrels make' and practice. They don't sound like you think they do and you have to practice with the call to get the right rhythm and how hard you pump it. Really am enjoying it.

Not sure how I feel about it feels like won't last long. However, it makes squirrel noises!

Excellent product easy to use

Durable and Made in the USA. Like all bellows type calls it takes practice to learn the sounds. This unit like all bellows calls is capable of making as many non-species specific sounds as it can that sound you are attempting to replicate. The instructions included on the back of the packaging are basic and get you started but with proper hand cupping and bellow activation you can achieve the proper squirrel sounds. Over all I find that a little is more with this call,, as the squirrels in my area do not tend to have the volume level that the call is capable of. I recommend practicing on yard or park squirrels until you find what they like. The distress call that you inhale through on the side is the easiest sound to master. The alarm is probably the second easiest, then Chatter, with the various barks being last. All in all this is a good value for the money.

The material isn’t strong only lasted a few weeks. Sine how while using it it ripped. The distress call works.
