D'Addario NYXL1164 Nickel Wound 7-String Electric Guitar Strings

The quality of the strings is top-notch, offering great durability and resistance to wear and tear. What really impressed me was how well they maintain their tune and provide such crisp, clear notes.

The strings are light and allow for easy access across frets for faster playing. Absolutely beginner friendly. I'd suggest these if you are a beginner. If you are a lead guy then this allows you faster playbility.Now the con:One of my non guitarist friends came over and began rampaging across the low E string. After a while I noticed that it had left silver coloured marks on the fret board. It's a maple neck fretboard so obviously it left noticeable ugly marks. I had to clean the fretboard immediately.

Basically being a death metal guitarist for last 5 years,suddenly i decided to upgrade to 7 strings for larger scale length,better tone,better drop tuning.So i choose this because of D Addario's reputation,don't have much options(Budget You Know),about heavier strings gauge(i dont like ernie ball & GHS Huh...didn't heard about it) & as i played before a D Addario EXL 148 .12 .60 which easily holds Drop B or Drop A(Sometimes) on a local Givson short scale 6 strings...Received it in a very good condition (As Expected as always),Installed it on my new Ibanez GRG 7221BKN and it feels very smooth & easy to play,sounds pretty charming in Clean.Even in distortion the notes are pretty clear.Now tuned to Standard G# tuning (G# C# F# B E G# C#) and even after not playing for 1 week,it takes only 1 or 2 mins to set all strings tuning,Just one thing...Particularly adjust the 7th string height by raising or lowering on bridge,which matches your playing style.Go for it if you are thinking for a new durable budget friendly 7 Strings Set.Thanks to Amazon for this GEM.

Good tone

The quality of the string is very good and is far better than daddario xl series in terms of rust resistance and smoothness but the strings tends to be less rigid than xl as it undergoes out of tune easily than xl series(as i tend to bend strings agressively and plays with heavy handedness).for my taste i will go with my old xl series of 10 to 46 gauze.

These strings are the best. So durable. One time ,I accidentally tuned the 2 nd string an octave higher and it didn't snap . I went beyond it and it did snapped. 🤣. But if it were any regular strings ,I am sure it wouldn't even last a quarter of what it endured. It stays in tune fir a long long time. Smooth and clean. And gives an elastic comfortable feel also which doesn't give any discomfort to the fingers. It is superb. If you are trying this strings, consider it a boon. You will fall in love with it for sure. I guarantee you 100% . It is also used by professional world known guitar gods like Guthrie Govan , Paul Gilbert, etc

I recently tried D'Addario NYXL1046 Nickel Plated Electric Light Guitar Strings and was disappointed by their lack of durability. Despite proper care, the strings began rusting within two weeks and were nearly unplayable by the end of the month. Initially, they sounded good, but the rapid corrosion led to a dull tone and uncomfortable playability. Compared to brands like Elixir, strings fall short. I cannot recommend these strings due to their poor longevity and performance.
