Replacement for original lost by Amazon driver arrived in 24hrs
As promised by Amazon's Ramirez this arrived the next day. The first one was advised "delivered to letterbox" whilst I was at home waiting for it to arrive. Whoever's letterbox it was certainly wasn't mine and no sign of it. As for the tool we know Trend is a good make, this is entirely as I expected, no problems at all.

Why didn't I invest in one of these sooner
Now I have it, it seems obvious this is the best way to achieve quick & consistent countersinks. I'd been getting by with various different solutions which did the job but were much slower. I like the quick attach head, though I may leave it in a drill-driver as countersinking is such a common task.

Hardwearing carbide tips for professional use.
I finally invested after getting fed up with sharpening and replacing steel ones and have no regrets so far. The depth limiting feature is essential when using fast cutting tips for absolute, consistent control. When used manually, say in a cordless, normal countersinks rely entirely on feel and experience but still produce variable results, often sinking way deeper than intended after applying too much pressure to go just a tiny bit further.Best used at slow speed in low gear to give a clean, round, chatter free countersink, especially if the screw clearance holes are pre-drilled at 5mm for example, allowing radial movement of the 4mm bit, which by the way is fully ground, cuts easily and is non clogging.Either way, you'll increase tool life going slower as heat is the enemy of any steel cutter and a blunt tool produces exponentially more heat as cutting pressure increases with wear, hence the sudden overcompensation mentioned above. The packed waste does clog up the body after a few holes but it's easily cleared by removing the unit from the drill and tapping it sharply on a bench or just poking it out with a pointy stick. The double ended hex wrench is nice to use and the grub screws are reassuringly large so the broached sockets should last a lifetime if not abused. My only criticism would be that the minimum countersunk depth setting is a full, flush 4mm screw head which may not be shallow enough for some purposes, particularly in very soft materials when the head will wind itself in even further under moderate tension. I'm speaking as a factory worker where aesthetics are sometimes important in the finished product, though 3.6mm versions are available and presumably fit those screw heads flush too for plastic caps etc.Not much if any conscious drilling pressure is required when new and time will tell how long this lasts. It's already noticeably sharper and harder wearing than any normal hardened steel equivalent that don't last very long, especially in resin bonded 'Formica' type laminates. It's simply false economy not to buy one of these if you're in the trade as I've spent many times more over the years on various alternatives, though for drilling soft metals a de-burring version would be welcome with a smoother cutting angled hole through the countersink to form the cutting edge instead of the twin carbide tips. I haven't tried this one in aluminium but again, at a very slow speed it should perform well. The spinning white depth stop ring won't scratch, (unless embedded with abrasive particles), but will still polish a foil or laminate surface if held out of square so again, use a slow rotational speed, preferably held in a pillar drill/press if you're not well practiced.I just bought two more for my workmates so they don't keep borrowing mine!

Starter drill and countersinker
Works well and makes consistently even countersinks. Laying a large floor and it makes it easy.

Fantastic
I've had a few cheap countersink bits over the years, but now I have seen the light! You certainly get what you pay for. It cuts fast and clean, the depth of drill and countersink are both adjustable, so you can get a consistant countersink. I used it last weekend when making a shelving unit out of 18mm ply, and the coutnersinks were crisp, clean and consistant throughout. Highly recommended!

WISH I’D BOUGHT THIS YEARS AGO!
Sooooo much better than the ones that clamp to a drill bit, but don’t have a physical stop!Don’t bother with the Allen keys that are supplied though. Use the top spec T handle ones you already have.Adjusting the depth stop precisely is a little tricky though. I test the cut first, then use a Vernier to increase or decrease a fraction. Will be buying the other sizes!

Very clean cut, doesn't mark if you use it right. Very acurate
A great bit of kit works lovely, provides a good clean cut. Doesn't mark the product providing you use it correctly. You have to stop drilling and applying pressure as soon as the white protector plastic stops turning/makes contact. Best thing to do is draw a few lines on the white plastic with a sharpie so you can see when it has made contact and you can stop drilling immediatelyI had the Wolfcraft one previously which literally just disappeared some where, it wasn't shit but not as good as this one I would definitely buy this one again over the wolfcraft

Worth the money
Works much better than expected. Gives consistent, accurate countersunk holes. Bit expensive compared with some others you can get, but the old saying buy cheap buy twice!

Bonne fraise
