What is the best way to apply?

I just put a small amount onto the bottom of a candle: sometimes by swirling a taper end into it and sometimes by using a small utensil to remove some from the container and spread onto a candle or candleholder.

2oz can stick about how many candles does the 2oz? I have 84 candles to do. Not sure how many to order.

I order stick-um once every 100 candles but I don't use very much. I notice if my wife does it stick-um goes away faster so it depends on how much you use. She uses 2 to 3 times more than me.

Does anyone notice a rather unpleasant, fuel like odor to this product?

I have NOT noticed any unpleasant odor using this product. I use the "adhesive" on the candlestick holder end of a tapered candle when the candle is slightly smaller; or doesn't fit snuggly, in the candle holder. It keeps the candle straight and secure in the candle holder. The candle never burns down so small that the Stick-Um" gets hot, melts or burns!

Will this stuff catch fire? Or will the wick stay in the candle if i poor the wax out?

not really sure what your question is other than flammability of the product. I have never had a fire when using the stick-um. I have used this for many years and it has never failed to keep my taper candles nice and straight in the candlestick holders.
