The saw has a fine kerf, cuts straight and is comfortable in the hand.

Great saw for learning dovetails
Been practicing hand cut dovetails and bought this after using a Japanese saw and finding that the ultra thin kerf was not a good thing. It's ultra rigid unlike the Japanese saw I had so the cuts are much straighter

Good Saw.
Torn between a 4 and a 3. Went with the 4 based on the quality of construction and how the product lived up to expectations.I should have listened to everyone else though about Dozuki pull saws. I bought one of those and one of these and the consistency, quality and speed of cut on the Dozuki are all superior for 1/3 the price.But, for a Western style fine detail saw, can't much beat this one for the price, especially if you want a traditional handle as opposed to the Dozuki.

B- Dovetail Saw
Too short for comfort. Use short strokes instead of longer steady strokes causing erratic cuts, I personally like a little more length which helps with control. Find where cuts wander off center. Well made.
