For a cheap Chinese made clock, this is very nice!The clock was very well packaged in a large box with thick padding for each part. The clock comes in 9 pieces (base, left, right, and back panels, door, clock, 2 weights, and a pendulum) and goes together quickly. There isn't any bracing to keep the sides from leaning, so although it's fairly straight, it will at least need some corner brackets to be perfect.The finish of the wood is good, but not the best. The color gets a little light on some of the edges, and the brass trim is hot-glued in place and not completely straight in all areas. These problems are only apparent under closer observation, so it's hard to complain at this price. The clock looks great overall.The dial (or face) is a single piece of stamped brass (or maybe brass finish tin or aluminum, it's hard to tell). The moon dial is simply a color print and does not function. It looks good, especially from a distance, but the appearance is kind of cheap up close.The clock is pretty stable after adjusting the feet. The whole thing only weighs about 40lbs, so moving it around is easy for one person. I'm only using the electric clock motor. I'm not using the chime or pendulum, so I can't comment on their quality. The cabinet's being used for a saxophone.Overall, it's a good clock for the price. It's also a decent, inexpensive base that could be used for a nice mechanical movement later in place of the cheap electric parts. Also, Amazon's photo isn't that great, so here's a gallery to give you a closer look at this thing.

This is a great clock for the price. My only complaint is that the paper fitting on the base is mot tight but I have tied it to the wall that makes it stable. It needs more hardware to make it stand straight and level. You do need a level to level two sides. If not the pendulum may hit one side or the other. I still recommend the clock because if you are careful you can have it set up perfectly. I like the Westmester chimes.

There s no one to call, the number rings constantly busy & now we are stuck with a beautiful, tall oak Grandfather clock that fr some reason, unknown to us, that does not work. Sucks after spending all this money, we are in our late 60s and did nothing wrong, other than buying this useless clock, with absolutely no support!

Beautiful clock. I've wanted a grandfather clock for years and couldn't pass this one up. Easy to assemble 15-20 minutes. Wood is a dark color and is detailed to perfection. Clock face is a light metal and is a perfect accent to my home. Clock was delivered 1 week ahead of delivery time. The chimes are beautiful to listen to.Anna ELaurel, MD

It’s an excellent watch but difficult to assemble and change the batteries

Not quite as sturdy as I imagined however once it's built and secured in the spot you want it it's an eye catcher. I get compliments whenever someone see's this.
