1920s Opera Satin Long Gloves 19.5" Elbow Length,12BL

These gloves are soft, not scratchy at all, and fit my fingers and hands fine (some gloves look bulky around the ends of the fingers but these do not). A soft sheen to them, like satin. But despite the picture on the website (and the photos of others who have received them, where they appear to be several inches above the elbow) the ones I received were NOT long enough to go over the elbow; they go right to my elbow, so when I bend my elbow they slip down underneath, and therefore look like I'm wearing black dish gloves (for reference, I am only 5'1" and do not have long arms at all). They also slide down a little so eventually it looks like I'm just wearing long winter gloves. It's too late to return them as my gala event is tonight. I held out some hope they would look good once I had my dress on, but they don't. They weren't super expensive so it's not a huge loss, but the look for my outfit is a little ruined. So I gave them to my 8 year-old daughter to play dress-up. Very disappointed. I don't think these would fit larger arms and hands very well; they aren't very stretchy. Maybe I was simply sent the wrong product by mistake, but that won't help my outfit tonight.

Let's get right down to it: I ordered the black ones. These gloves are shiny, but not hideously so, soft, and stretchy. I have long fingers, large hands, and broad arms. The gloves stretch to fit my hands and arms, and hit just above the elbow, where the stretch prevents them from slipping. The construction feels good, no holes, decent stitching. Overwhelming pleased for the price! Of course, this is for a Halloween costume, so if you have an actual formal event that requires gloves, these may not quite fit the bill. By which I mean: The pinkie is just as long as the ring finger, and it's too long even for my very long fingers, and no amount of scrunching the fabric down can fix it.But for $9 and free shipping, I'll deal.

These are excellent gloves! I was worried that they would be too large for my arms and hands but they fit wonderfully! They arrived in perfect condition and are very soft. They came up to my elbows! They would slip down a little with my movement but that is definitely to be expected and they never fell down very far! I am using them for a Cinderella costume for princess appearances for children and all of the little girls loved my gloves!

I was so excited to see that the gloves had arrived and a day early too! So imagine my disappointment when I tried them on and there were holes everywhere and not just on the seams, an easy fix since there's tons of extra fabric around the fingers. I wanted them for a costume so I figured the fabric might be a little shiny, but this is ridiculous!

Great gloves. The picture is an accurate depiction. They are a shiny satin looking gloves, so careful if you’re looking for a matte black. They worked well for my look

They fit well, cover up to right past elbo; lightweight cool material so doesn't make me too hot but also warm enough to keep me comfortable in low temps too; are machine-washable (medium cycle, warm water) and dryer-safe on *low heat, short-cycle; don't wrinkle; goes well with anything; others have commented positively when they see me wear them (some say reminds them of Michael Jackson); I bought these to have something stylish to cover my hands and arms due to sores on them from having Eczema and dermatitis; I have and you can cut just the tips where the middle and index fingers go in order to be able to keep them on while using a smartphone and they won't tear; there really isn't anything negative to say about these special gloves (in my opinion) and I have two pair.

These are ok, only if using for a costume. The elbow side of the glove is not tight and slips down. The gloves are extremely shiny making them look cheap, and they are very transparent where you can see your skin through

I bought these for a skit I was acting in. I've had a lot of different opera-length gloves over time for local acting, but these kept slipping down my arms and wrinkling. They were not fitted at all past my wrists. They fit around my fingers and hands, just not on my arms. I am 5'5" and 140 lbs, and I don't have large arms, so if you're smaller than I am, these will probably slide down your forearms worse than they did on me. Otherwise they were standard black "satin-looking" opera gloves that worked for what I needed. Fairly average.

If you have short little fingers these will be fine, normal human length fingers are gunna have some issues. These seem like something I could have got at the dollar store.
