The Boss of Card Deck Games!
Simple premise, hokey even... but darned if it isn't a lot of fun! We've played with numerous friends from young to old, and everyone has a great time. Games take maybe an hour, give or take, and there are many expansion decks to add to the mix in case the experience ever goes stale. Yippee!

Great expansion to add new mechanics
Who doesn't want all the mini-bosses to make a deadly dungeon? Also, the spell cards have a greater variety of effects that I really enjoy over the base game spells.

Great game would buy again
Great game, really fun. Nice twist on set up of the game compared to binding of Isaac or munchkin. Lots of replay ability.

Cool as a base game but doesn’t hold up as an expansion
This is a really cool expansion or standalone game for the Boss Monster series of games. The game works like other Boss Monster games where you try to create a dungeon as a videogame villain to try and kill heroes in. You do this by playing cards to create the most deadly dungeon possible. This specific game introduces some new mechanics like coins and mini bosses. Coins are a currency that you can acquire and use to pay for upgrades to your dungeon. And mini bosses are a form of upgrade that you can play on an existing room card. The problem I have is when you throw this in with other boss monster cards. There are only a handful of mini bosses so cards that rely on mini bosses are lost in the shuffle. Same thing for the coins; it gets hard to rely on getting cards that allow you to spend coins when used in conjunction with other sets/expansions. But overall, it’s more Boss Monster goodness and I do recommend it. You may just have to take extra caution/curation when adding with other expansions.
