Open box cookies, Costco almond, soy beans, Chinese herbs for soups, dried fruit skins...... So many things can be put into air thigh containers in the misty city.. I hate to waste food or eat stale food... Putting in fridge won't be a solution for all type of food.. I only live with my wife, and i feel like everything goes bad faster.. Buying wholesale style to save money end up wasting money. So why not invest some money on my "stock up" inventory to ensure our purchases will be worth it after all?The containers smell like plastic at first when open, just as expected. Keep them open and let it air out for couple days, and the smell will go away. The blue rubber pieces on the cover can be easily removed for cleaning. Don't keep any moist here, it will get moldy if it is not dried. The container are very sturdy feeling. I try to squeeze the side using one hand and the container won't budge. One thing to point out though, the pictures in the post show the containers are crystal clear, but what I received is slightly cloudy color (see attached picture). To me, it is not big deal. I prefer the slightly white color, yet, still see through color any ways. I think the clear ones are typically more brittle (not scientifically proven).Over all, I love to have these various sizes containers to organize my food. It is more "customized" at home than having the manufacturer boxes in my opinion.

I bought these because I needed air tight containers for storing home milled gluten free flours (garbanzo, red lentil, soy, brown rice, millet, white bean, black bean, and my brown rice flour/sunflower seed flour/millet flour mix.) They are an absolutely wonderful size for that. * cups of dried beans fills the large bins with approximately 12 cups of flour, and 4 cups of red lentils fills a small container with red lentil flour. I even use one of the large bins for storing TVP and it makes it really easy to measure from.I use them on the pantry shelf and in the freezer (the oils in millet flour go rancid very quickly if left on the shelf) and they work wonderfully. Even though there are four 'latches' on the lid, I don't find it hard to open in the least. I do make sure to unlatch opposite sides first to hopefully prevent the bending seam of the latch to snap because I want them to last a very long time. That being said, these containers are sturdy and not flimsy in the least. I'm just being extra cautious because I love them so much. I'm hoping to get a second set soon as I'm finding more uses for them but the ones I have are already used.I really love the labels and they are nice to see everything so uniform. Being OCD I had to place the length of the labels going up and down the side of the container (even the large ones) so the overall look is uniform even though the width of the large containers can accommodate the width orientation of the labels just fine. The small containers do not and it will wrap around, kinda ruining the look if you ask me.My only complaint, and reason why a star was docked, is because of the misrepresentation in the product images. The fist one shows that the ink on the handwritten part of the labels is WHITE. I received a paint pen that is a darker, somewhat neon blue. Normally this is not something I would complain about but when I bought this set I believed I was getting a white pen. Since my husband is colorblind I really wanted a label with the highest contrast that I could find. The blue is much darker than I'd prefer (compared to the white) and not being colorblind myself (I am dyslexic) I often find the blue text hard to read unless I stop and focus on it. We were lucky that my husband can still read the writing, but It very easily could have been that there was not enough distinction between the ink and the background for him to see it.

I’m really happy with these, so I ordered a second set just for the bigger containers, I love that a chalk pen and stickers came with them, my cabinet and pantry looks great! Boy what a little organization does for the kitchen! LOL 😂 I highly recommend them.

I never used such containers before. Being laid back so just zip with plastic bags that come along with products. It comes in a very good package with a few containers. There is a strong plastic smell rushed out immediately when I opened the box. But after a few seconds, it's completely gone. I think the smell comes from the cover. These containers now make my kitchen so well organized.

They are smaller than appear in the picture. Not recommended. Doesn’t fit a cereal box.

After moving to Florida, we needed containers to keep food fresh and away from bugs.These were not the least expensive but we liked the sizes and in hind sight, they are very durable.Stack well in the pantry.

just got these to help with my organizing. they are perfect for cereal, snacks, flour, and beans. I love these food containers, it stack well and airtight.~also, the clear plastic make it easy to see when refills need.
