As usual, these are the best books for teaching phonics and phonetic reading for kids at home. It helps a lot and you can start with book 1 and 2 then 4 and then 3 and then book 5 in the series. Always teach beginning sounds, then short vowels, then consonant blends and then long vowels. It's much easier and faster to learn reading.
