The external disk I bought in june is not opening in T V which I very much wantedo. Changed the cord and checked again - no way! I would request to replace it from the seller. Will amazon pass the message to them for me?

Received a dead drive. Tried on 3 different PC but no luck. Returned it that was easy. Thanks Amazon.

Because of the additional safety offered by drop-shock protection, the drive is somewhat larger than comparable devices. However, it is an excellent product, with great build quality, robustness and appearance. The bundled software works well with both, Mac and Windows. And my generation-old led tv detects and maps all 2TB, which is a bonus for those looking to back up digital media.

This is the 3rd Transcend External Hard-drive bought by me, and like the others it is excellent. The build is sturdy, while the drive itself is slimmer than the earlier 1TB models. The storage of 2 TB is great and transfer speeds are pretty good. The only problem I can think of is the connecting cord - it is very short. Good buy nevertheless.

Great product

It is working super slow. It gets disconnected in-between. In fact, one of the time it showed data and on plugging after unplugging, data was missing. I lost certain amount of important data due to that. Kindly replace it as it is under warranty.

Its fake product .Not opening.Dont have return its size too.Amazon not helping with return &telling to contact seller. Seller telling to contact amazon.

I prefer Transcend over other brands as it is Shockproof ,sturdily built and dependable. Has a good quality cable 45cm length from end to end.

The first one I bought failed straight out of the box, the second froze up & failed after one day.I think there is an issue with the 2 TB version, I have had the 1 TB version for at least 4 years without any issues.I will buy a 1 TB version again but if that fails I will switch brands.Other reviews mention the slowness of data transfer on the 2TB version & noticed that on the second of these before it failed.They make a clicking noise when they fail, as though it can't get started.

I wouldn't normally buy a drive like this, but during the covid lockdown a lot of more standard models weren't available. This one was on short delivery times and was in stock at Amazon. I paid a bit more (£68 I think) for a 2TB model compared to what you can get from other manufacturers. I believe inside this is a WD drive and Transcend add the USB interface and protective casing. So far so good - I use it as my main data drive and it's been running for a good few months with very large video files being read, written and re-written without problems. I like the protective casing (rubberised outer sleeve and inner plastic case) as I do put the drive in a pocket sometimes. Performance is pretty good but to be honest I'm running this via a hub and a magnetic USB-C quick-disconnect connector, so I'm unlikely to be getting the speeds this drive is actually capable of. Very happy with the purchase - it's something different to the normal black-box drives from Seagate, WD, etc. and I'd probably buy another one of these if I needed another.

レビューを見て、大丈夫と思い、２TBを購入しました。2018年7月14日に配送され、当日からバックアップ用に使用。2018年10月17日にデータを取り出せなくなりました。東芝とDELLのPCでやってみましたが、エクスプローラにも表出せず。各種の個人データを保存したので、3年保障といっても、修理に出すのが不安です。2010年に買ったBuffaloのMiniStationは問題なく保存再生できているのに。本当に困っています。

Bonjour,Tout d'abord je précise aussi que mon évaluation tiens aussi compte du prix du produit au moment de son achat sur Amazon, en effet j'ai eu la chance d'obtenir ce disque, lors d'un vente flash pour 59,90 euros à ce moment la.Donc on reçoit ce disque Transcend très bien emballé dans sa boite d'origine, dans son boitier anti-choc gris acier avec intérieur en caoutchouc et silicone qui résiste aux chutes et de couleur vert militaire pour mon choix, mais une autre couleur est disponible. 3 gammes possible (classique,luxe ou anti choc).J'ai donc opté pour ce modèle Transcend 2 To StoreJet 25M3S.On voit au déballage la qualité de fabrication, belle finition un cordon usb est fournit, celui ci est par contre assez court, donc tout dépend de l'utilité que l'on en a, dans mon cas il reste soit à coté de mon ordinateur portable, soit à coté de ma box android TV donc au contraire qu'il soit court est presque un avantage pour ma part, mais pour ceux qui on un pc fixe par exemple, il va surement falloir prévoir un cordon USB un peu plus long.Le disque est déjà formater en NTFS à son arrivé, et les logiciels sont dessus. Elite et Transcend plus un pour de la récupération et autre et l'autre pour de la gestion de fichier.Le disque est aussi équipé d'un bouton sur la face avant, c'est assez esthétique je trouve car lorsque l'on branche le disque dur, un Halo lumineux entoure alors le contour de ce bouton, c'est très jolie et cela change de la simple led je trouve.Le bouton est bien pratique il a deux fonctions, il permet une sauvegarde automatique de vos données sur une simple pression mais il permet aussi de reconnecté le disque sans avoir à le réinstaller ou autres.coté Interface USB 3.1 Gen 1 avec support UASP, taux de transfert j'ai noté au maximum environ 120 MB/s environ en lecture et presque autant en écriture en crête. Ce qui je trouve est très bien pour un disque dur externe connecté en USB.Pour finir Transcend qui annonce prendre un soin particulier à la conception de ces disques durs, garantie son produit 3 ans ce qui est très bien aussi je trouve.Pour résumé garantie donc 3 ans, boitier anti-choc qui peut aussi éviter d'investir dans un étui pour le transport, le bouton de sauvegarde automatique, la connectique usb 3.1 et en plus le prix que j'ai obtenu en vente flash amazon pour ma part.Alors certes il est un peu plus long et plus épais qu'un disque dur 2.5 standard à cause de son boitier de protection, mais le seul point qui peut je pense se placé du coté négatif si on peut dire est la longueur du cordon très court.C'est un excellent disque et je recommande.

Found the instructions almost impossible to follow and couldn’t use it successfully to drag, drop and store important files. Transcend did offer advice on how to delete all data before I returned it for a full refund. Very disappointing. They need to offer more user friendly guidance.
